Buhari barred from Niger State

The Police in Niger State, yesterday, barred the presidential candidate of the CPC, Muhammadu Buhari from entering Suleja in Niger State. Government also, yesterday, held the leadership of CPC responsible for the mayhem amid fears by parents whose children & wards are involved in the NYSC scheme in the North. General Buhari was scheduled to pay condolence visit to victims of the last bomb blast in the area yesterday. - Vanguard

  1. I think he should be charged to court if they have enough evidence to do so. How will barring him calm things down? It may even escalate more. Also, i think he should just keep a low profile for now.
No condolence visit to the NYSC headquarters/state NYSC offices? That may go some way.

  2. We thank Allah and Jehovah for the ban. Other states should follow suit.

  3. this man has blood on his hands- he needs to be tried for inciting violence as an example to future politicians who want to wreck the country and should be banned from politics forever. Participants in riots must also be tried for their part in killing those youth corpers whose death must not be in vain. This is the only way we can get the message across that you must learn to accept the result peacefully or don't ever contest.

  5. If you put him in jail, it would only incite more violence from his supporters...

  7. @Zizi, no we must not afraid of pursuing Buhari and we must his supporters understand that they too will follow him to jail if they don't behave themselves. We cannot allow an uneducated mob of criminals, rats and fundamentalists to dictate to the majority!

  8. if he wants to prove to himself and to the people of Nigeria that he is a good statesman, he should accept his fate and stop his arrogant rantings on GEJ and be a gentleman and accept defeat... that way, I will respect him and he can move on...
if not... I pray that we wont end up like cote Ivoire...

  9. He is an idiot! NOTHING has come out of him to indicate that he's even sympathizing with the deceased and their families. Instead he is talking about stolen mandate. This is the very face of evil. An epitome of all things wrong with Nigeria. God is bigger than all of them. If Abacha can die like a rat, his own 6 feet under is coming soon.
