  4. What is going on with all these young people dying via car crashes. I have heard from friends that most hospitals will refuse to treat the victims until money is put down. Where is the human ethics in such hospitals and how did such medical staff qualify. Nigeria wake up: a complete transformation of the medical industry is needed. We are losing people when there is no need to.
    RIP Chidinma..

  11. Heard the hospital she was taken to in Kaduna had no blood bank, and a nurse actually had to donate blood for her!!
Our health system is so bad, what are the government doing to tackle drink driving, speed limit, teenage drinking. For how long are we going to fold our arms and watch our youths die, am not saying the government are solely responsible, but our laws are too lose and until there is a reform things wont stop.
There should be a stricter process for people to get driver's licence, infact the whole of people driving commercial transortation , the roads are so terrible one needs days of fasting and prayer to travel on Nigeria roods.
Everything seem not to be working in that country, doubt it is the same in other African countries that are not even as exposed as Nigeria.
Instead of Nigerians always stealing and copying the nEGATIVE things from the western cultures eg their clothes, long weaves, they can copy the positive their health care system, driving system and all. We need to start protecting each other, even all this rich people that feel untouchable it could happen to their own, as no one is really save in this country.
Its a shame this young lady and CD John had to lose their lives due to lack of adequate health care system. Am if they were in London or America, they would have had a very good chance of survivor. God only does good not evil.
May her soul rest in peace, I pray God will have mercy and restore Nigeria as a whole, give us good leaders that would think about the commoners, Father heal our land and take it away from demons in human form Amen.

  13. More reason why we all should vote for a better government.
We need well equipped hospitals all over the 36 states and not airports.
We need a well planned health care that all Nigerians can benefit from.

This is sad. Waste of life and beauty. RIP Chidnma

  20. May her soul RIP, Nigerian's should wake up and Vote for Government of Health Care, Good traffic system, stable electricity and pure water supply. These are the reasons why things are not working in our country. We should stop thinking of indidvidual benefit from our useless politicians and so called Presidential aspirants/rants. Vote for a President with Vision for Nigerian's and New Nigeria.

Presidential candidates should come out and pledge their sacrifice for the people, they should let Nigerian's know their plans for the Country. No more failure or false promises and also no matter what someday, these past Failed corrupted Presidents will be accounted for their failure because History is against them. You never be judged by what you destroy but what you build. WE hope for New Nigeria and May God help us. Amen

  25. Hold PDP and Jonathan responsible for these deaths. They refused to fix the roads. Who knows who their next victim will be? It could be any of you reading this. Vote them out come next month. Cast your vote for Buhari/Bakare. A word is enough for the wise.

  28. i believe the songs "Gone Too Soon" by Michael Jackson and "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston should be played at her funeral. seriously, thats something that really represents what just happened.

  31. I will not be surprised if the family of this girl cast their votes for PDP/Jonathan for whatever reason. It's just the way we are. We love our enemies and hate our friends. We are so twisted.

  32. This beautiful girl was all over my bbm this morning :(

Apparently a lot of my friends knew her. Quite sad and depressing the way pple die as a result of accidents in naija. May their souls rest in peace.

  34. 'm not supersticious but hold on a minute! in the build up to a presidential election in Nigeria, road traffic accidents increases. in 2003 a friend and colleague was involved in a massive road accident in Abuja where over 60 pple died. lets pray more for a better Nja with great policies

  46. I live in England but sometimes feel home sick and would really love to come home one day. Then I think to myself what kind of country I will be coming back to?
A country where someone claims to be a road constructor is paid but does not do the job he has collected money for? As a result of bad roads people die from accidents.
A country where people are not safe because of the menace of armed robbers and kidnappers?
A country where leaders are so greedy and selfish that they steal money for their generations unborn. While the people they rule live in lack and poverty.

What baffles me most is that these same tyrants love to come to the western world to stash their ill gotten wealth, shop, buy houses and educate their children. My thought is that Nigerian leaders do not mind if they rule dead bodies or stones as long as they embezzle money

A man of God once said that the only reason God does not deal with us today like He did in the old testament of the bible is because Jesus stands in the middle - between God and the children of men.

My heart weeps for Chidinma’s mother and family. I pray that God will be with them and hug them with His love and grace. May God comfort them on all sides and give them peace in Jesus name. Amen

  47. People on this page like to go off point. 1st Adebola says that we need to do something about teenage drinking. Pleas, is it only teenagers that drink and drive? Is drunk driving not a problem that affects both the young and the old?
Next he says that we should not adopt the negative sides of western culture like "long weaves". When did long weaves become a national policy? How can you compare an individual's PERSONAL decision to Government incompetence i.e not having equipped blood banks, a better emergency service, better roads etc. That point was very irrelevant
Then some Lucia babe comes up and says she heard she was Don Jazzy's girlfriend. I dont even think i need to reply this one. that comment was all kinds of stupid
I pray Chidinma's soul rests in peace. So many people have lost their lives this year, it's ridiculous.
this is also a message for people to please donate blood. You never know if you(or someone close to you) might be the one to need it.
Save a life and donate blood
    RIP Chidinma

  50. seriously....i think Chidinma's incident should be used as a platform for CHANGE. we should use her incident as the voice of the average Nigerian. about the lack of good roads, the ruckus that okadas cause, the untrained drivers, the lack of good medical care, or lack of well-equipped hospitals, and the lack of the Fed Government or even the STATE governments doing anything about it. these Okada people are not human beings, they are WILD ANIMALS! we Igbos call them "Anuofia"!!! im so glad cities like Owerri and Calabar have banned those useless things. people were complaining about men being out of work if they ban Okadas but its obvious they are abusing their privilege to ride them. they are so reckless, weave in and out of traffic, drive past pedestrians so fast that they almost slice off their arms or legs. these people are crazy! Okadas need to be banned in every part of Nigeria. and YES i read that she swerved out of the way when an Okada recklessly came at her out of nowhere. the government needs to take action to make sure that these drivers ALL have licenses and get real police to then enforce the law. this is crazy and getting out of hand. my auntie three weeks ago was injured in Orlu by another okada-related incident. these things are ticking time bombs and death traps. as for the health care system, dont even get me started.
    RIP!!!!

  51. Lord, please have mercy on us! we can't question You because You are unquestionable, but we know for sure that whatever we ask in your name You will do for us, please Lord put end to the death of young people in Nigeria they're our future....In Jesus Name~Amen! RIP Chidinma!

  52. Its really so sad RIP Chidinma whats happening to our health system in this country . This death could ve been prevented . its really sad . please vote wIsely enough is enough of bad government we need a CHANGE!

  53. I read with sadness the untimely death of Chidinma. It is a pity that she's gone but her memories will live on. A girl who just bought a new car with her hard earned money, coming back from Kaduna to Abuja and had an accident while trying to avoid hitting a motorcycle rider. Chi, may your gentle soul rest in the bossom of the Lord.

  54. So painfull,we stil in tears..we think we dreaming.. Chidinma just left like that?? WHY??

  55. Three people in the public space dead through road accidents in the space of 2 weeks and countless unknown ones too..
It's tragic all round..if the Govt had got thier act together they wouldn't be any need for Okada's they would have gotten some decent jobs of sorts..people have to survive..
Private Hospitals with no blood banks..what's the point of having a hospital..dish out Alabukun?? and bandages I guess...smh
The condition of the roads seem fine to me..it was stationary vehicles that caused the deaths of CD John and Dagrin..
It takes time to handle and really really know the mechanics of a new car..though my sisters drive I rather help them get that new car or get some experienced driver do it..enough male friends or family would have done it for free..or get her family driver to do it for just N2,000..sometimes you just cannot get past your destiny..
RIP Chidinma..to think just New Years eve I saw Shona at Abuja Airport..think it sort of brought it home to me..

    ReplyDelete
  56. let's put things into perspective....2 million children every year die from malaria alone! We just sit back and accept it. A Z-list celebrity dies and we now acknowledge the government is failing us. I'm guessing those unfortunate poor children don't need our help.
They need our help and we can all do something about it!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  57. this story reminds of the 2005 Christmas incident in Port Harcourt. many more lives could have been saved of the people that survived the initial impact but because there was NO WATER at the airport, basically everyone died. na wa! no blood bank, no water in airports. what kind of godforsaken country is this?

RIP Pretty Woman,,,u were a true beauty in n out....i just want to say nigeria is fullll of bare rubbish it has always been n its never gonna change,,i mean how will it change when there is a nigerian man who is alive n kicking n is richer than the whole country..the government doesnt care about roads n hospitals talkess of blood bank n i thank God i dont live in that hell hole no more...all the government does is make more money n divide it amongst their families n friends so it doesnt matter who you vote for..all nigerians actually need to make an effort encourage each other to do better 4 the country...government shud put money into education to educate people so they strive to be better in life n also to build the next generation..if there was a REAL AMBULANCE service im sure chi chi's problems wud have been half solved..by the tym u get to the hospital its flipping filthy..anyways lots of love chidinma sweetdreams
