You know, during the time of the murder of the Ugandan that was gay, I was researching to find out if there were gays and lesbians in Nigeria(I'm naive in certain things...had no idea that so may of you in Nigeria are gay......geeeeeeeez.....too many....tufiakwa!!!......I'm kidding...), if they were attacked, etc.

Read this article. Read it few weeks ago. It's from National Daily Newspaper

    Exposed: Dirty Secrets Of Lesbians
By AHAOMA KANU, PAMELA EBOH AND EMMA EZEJA

Google: student lesbians beaten Nigerian university
    Or Use this link: http://ow.ly/1sa0Sd

  9. @pointless, I sincerely feel like gays in naija are not harrassed. That's not like the general attitude towards them. Nigerians are too busy hustling to be checking for who's gay and who's not. Of course there are exceptions, definitely. Two girls caught kissing in a university setting, the students will definitely will have fun at their expense.

I'm saying this based on what I have seen. I know a lot of gay guys and in fact after the last discussion we had on a previous post about how gays are treated, I asked my gay friends if they'd ever been mistreated and everyone said no. As long as u don't harrass straight people. If u do that, u probably will get a whooping...:-)

    Btw, my blog readers rock..:-)

  11. yes they do get harassed, it might not be as bad as other african nations but it does exist....do you know being gay in nigeria is punishable by 14yrs prison term and hard labour? its in our constitution, research it....plus am guessing you live in lagos where ppl are a lot more open minded to these things but dont say gays arent harassed in nigeria..i know 2 gays that are truly afraid for their lives...and i bet u if u had posted a pic of gay guys the comments here would have been diff...somehow ppl are willing to let lesbians slide

  12. Truth is ...lesbianism is becoming a norm in Naija and thats the honest truth. Now chics have graduated from smoking cigarettes to weed ...very normal....and no one is saying anything because corruption has eaten deep into the system.

Im worried that we are slowly drifting into a drug - cancer nation like the western world.....only difference is that we pretend like its not happening.

  14. @ 12.25pm - becoming? there has been lesbian action in nigeria tay-tay, becoming ko becoming ni! girls in boarding schools where notorious for indulging in each other and they will usually continue with the same girl into their marriage. what might be different these days is that they might be a little more open with it but women being freaky with othe women is not new in nigeria.

  15. Gays don't get harrassed in nigeria that's d truth, d only way they get harrassed or beaten up is when the approach a straight person or display thier love in d open, i have gay friends both male n female, if we r walking 2gether or hanging out, u won't know if they r gay or not, nobody knows ur sexuality if u don't flaunt it n thats d truth

Dear Mr / Mrs Morality, Linda's blog is not owned by the Vatican. It's not a religious blog. She can blog anything she wants. It's her blog. It's not your blog and neither is it your church's or mosque's blog. You have a choice. No one asked you to read it. Don't come and moan about what she blogged. She will not be sensored directly or indirectly. She's FREE to blog anything. She don't need your approval and neither does she or will she blog just to please you or anyone. So, back off. I can't stand fakers and hollier than thou fakers like you. You make me sick. ••Vomits, violently•• Put your morality and "upmarket" nonsense where the sun don't shine. Ps, were like it ghettoish.

  21. I'm starting to get tired of all these homosexuality talk everywhere. Gosh, homosexuals want to act like they are being discriminated against all the time which is not the case. Here, people are always so careful to offend, when you say A or B about gays, you are homophobic. People have always been bullied, called names way before this whole homosexuality dynamic. I don't know about Nigeria because I haven't been there.

The other day, all of a sudden these two gay boys said I was judging them by my expression, what? Be careful, don't let me rough handle you o...lol So, I can't express myself again.

My thing is, even when I see opposite sex all over each other in front of me, I get uncomfortable, let alone two gay men making out in front of me.

My cousin told me homosexuality has being going on in Nigeria long before they even knew the name for it. she went to all girls school, and it was the norm for girls to touch each other but kept it to themselves. She said, girls did it to her, she did it to other girls but pretended like it never happened. It was when she came here that she knew what lesbianism/masturbation or girl attraction is really about.

They had a driver, who was of age and his family will always tell him, they will find a wife for him from the village but it never worked. She saw him sneak out of the house once in a while to meet his boo who was also a driver for their family friend. She thought it was awkward but now she can say he was definitely gay.

The truth about it, sin is sin. Everybody is a sinner. Nobody is above sin. So, it's ridiculous when people start the whole talk, there are no gays in my country, we don't talk about sex, we are so good and innocent. Everybody, fornicate, commit adultery, kill/murder, etc It's just more obvious in some countries because they actually talk about it.

Linda, maybe you should start a LGBT organization in Nigeria, since you are so passionate about it.

One thing I will stand on is, people can cut their heads off or blow their mouths off, the truth is the truth.

Truth is SUPPRESSED but will never CHANGE.

do u have to flaunt you sexual preference and then think someone else is evil because he/she doesnt think it's right..
most Nigerians are uncomfortable with PDA between married couples does that mean they dont know that the couple have sex?....pls..
