Willow Smith's hairstyle arrives in Nigeria...lol

Left, a Naija babe at the Comedy Titans show. Right, Willow Smith on set of her 'Whip My Hair' Video...

This lady sat in front of me at the event, and I remember thinking, 'What won't Naija people copy...even from a 10year old? lmao...

I understand that hair on a 10year old, but on a grown ass woman? Lady please...lol

how can someone copy another person that is less than half their age? its shameful, really. not only that, but the style is obviously meant for younger children.

  6. This lady will blame somebody now for the heavy 'burden' she put on herself.

  7. This is serious. The world is coming to an end.

  10. yeah, agreed with anon.12.23,she looks great as per the fact that she as a fair skin makes it even lovelier.

  11. who is punishing this woman with this heavy weight?I am sure people would have psyched her that the hair suits her lol .she is definitely an agbaya.

@ 2:43 PM please stop with the ignorance. its either she looks good or doesn't look good. end of.

  15. Chei, Nigerians and their melodrama! LOL! The world is coming to an end over a hair style?LOL! I don't know what age has to do with anything, if for instance the same 10 year old developed a patent to make a particularly difficult task more manageable, would copying it be a bad thing then?

Personally, she's rocking it. The woman likes the hair style, it is funky to her and helps her express her individuality, what is the problem? Don't do it if you don't have the boldness to carry it off but let people who can, do it. Is she killing anybody? Is she blocking the flow of traffic on the highway?

  16. SMH @ comments... Willow has a team of stylists, including her mother, that style appeared on her head due to their creative input.

Furthermore, willow did not originate that style, she got it from adults who rock it.

So this woman rocking it means nothing. She likes it, so she does it. Period.

  17. We are ignorant sha, it fits her due to the fact that " she is light skinned"????MY hope is that we are not picking up on this useless complexion complex thing that is rampant here in America.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Whoever did the hair for her is very talented.

  19. Poor child. Where's her childhood? Her parents have turned her into a money making machine. Let's hope she doesn't end up hating her parents. MJ's dad didn't even do any of this stuff to him. You all know how he turned - Never Never Land, giving sweets, candies and "lollies" to children. People who do stuffs like that are called pedos. I wonder how Willow Smith will turn out. An axe Muderer? Only time will tell. Lol.

  20. ..,, in addition to my previous comment, shame to that agbaya woman copying a 10 yr old. Some people no get shame. Mr Lady GaGa wore meat dress, the Naija woman should have worn dead fish or dead body on her head. Smh. Lol.

  21. Don't mind us naija girls and copy copy. If too say one of these american artist burn their scalp, we will follow follow. Chai, it gets annoying.

  30. Kudos to her hairdresser - Willow's style looks like there's a hair piece or something holding up the heart shape, while this woman's style looks like the hairdresser crafted it only out of the woman's actual braids.

Now for the woman actually wearing the hairstyle as streetwear....speechless.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I actually like the style you know! It's reminiscent of the elaborate styles that were once common.
No need to hate...she pulls it off quite well.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lol... Definitely don't want her sitting in front of me at the cinema tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  33. people are so stupid for judging her ..she loved the hair style that why she did it so people need to stop judging her.linda it is a shame that you would post this in on ur page in other for people to make fun of heror critize her.what about if someone did that on their own page abt u would u like it.it is a shame and you call urself a christian.the woman liked the style that why she did it.linda if you dont have better pic to post on your page.you better close your blog instead of you making fun of other people.you are just a hater...if you like delete my comment but you know it the truth.

  37. All those of you criticising the woman who copied someone younger's hairstyle, raise up your hand if you have not copied anyone younger than you. In my opinion, its all good. we live to learn from one another either young or old.

    ReplyDelete
  41. anonymous 1:55 AM - 2:00 AM is the same person. LOLOL
@ChiChiLuv....your first example is totally irrelevant.
we are talking about a silly hairstyle here, not some invention that makes lives easier.
or is this hairstyle scientifically groundbreaking?

    ReplyDelete
  42. to anon at 2:00am, I'm sure your aunty wouldn't mind. you don't do an elaborate hairstyle like that and hope to hide under the rock. you do it to be noticed and with that comes a possibility of your picture being taken.
so go ahead and let your aunty know that she is now a STAR !!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. why am i not surprised????...idiots!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Well 4 me,the hairstyle is nt such a bad idea.
Buh blame it on naija. if it was in d states you put up someone pics 4 everyone to see without covering the face somewhat, den get ready to be sued.

    ReplyDelete
  45. The world is coming to an end. She looks like a character from star trek....God save the world.

    ReplyDelete
  46. @ Alicia: You may think my example was irrelevant, that's fine with me but to me copying is copying whether it is scientific break through or not! The fact remains that someone else created something that another person felt they would like to imitate. Imitation is the a form of flattery. The woman like the do, she was bold enough to be able to carry it through, I see no shame in that. None of us here can say we've never had a fashion faux pas, we've never copied a dress style that might have turned out to not be the best. Live is about trial and error.

  47. noooo..., dis wan no be copy-cat. Dis hairstyle was in vogue in the 70s in naija. I bet dat's the truth.I still some pictures of my mum and her friends to show for and believe me, I'm not lying. ll dis black and white pictures... Infact, dem even dey do with rubber and tread... No blame the woman!!!

  48. Linda I think you have a way of instigating your followers! If the style was worn by one of the soo called stars it will become fashion right? You need not insult her allow you followers make the coments objectively. If it was an ideal society she can sue you for such.

    ReplyDelete
  49. God may never forgive Will and Jada for wrecking this girl's childhood.
It is not like they need the money.

  50. HATERS INCORPORATED!!! Can an hour or day go by without women criticizing other women's appearance? If she wants to look like Nicki Minaj or Lady Gaga sef, haba let her be. She's not telling anyone of you what to eat or wear AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Linda....deres nothing wrong wid d hair. Its a matter of opinion......she likes it n she s comfortable wearing it. Bcos u dont like it dont mean u should try to make d hair luk bad.

Personally, I like it....but i wuldnt feel comfortable carrying it

    ReplyDelete
  52. It's just Ridiculous! she doesn't even look good with the hair do!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I think the lady wanted to stand out at the competition, I do not see anything wrong with it after all people show up at the American Idol competition wearing more ridiculous things.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Funny how you guys fail to see that most of Linda's posts are just calculated to trigger this kind of effect where u guys just comment and abuse each other, while she sits back, reads the comments and really laughs out loud at various display of degrees of ignorance!! My advise to all you passionate 'commentators"is... no need to pop a blood vessel go easy on the abuses and insults , Linda is having mad fun at ur expense! SMH.....

    ReplyDelete
  55. not made for street wear, i would think...still it's so outrageous i would commend her courage in stepping out with it
