ANPP Governoship Candidate Assasinated today in Borno State

The ANPP Gubernatorial candidate in Borno State, Engr Modu Fannami Gubio, was assassinated this afternoon while paying a visit to his family home in Maiduguri. Two assailants who came in two motor cycles opened fire at him immediately he came out of the house, then started shooting randomly, killing 6 other people who were in his company.

Engr. Gubio was the Commissioner of Finance in Borno and the cousin to the Borno State Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff. He was picked as the ANPP Governorship candidate 14th of this month.

Those killed alongside him are Alhaji Goni Sheriff, younger brother to the Borno State Governor, two security officers attached to the aspirant and four other ANPP stalwarts.

May his soul rest in peace...amen.

  5. The kept and armed all those area boys and criminals and now they are being used to assassinate political opponents. Seems no one is safe in that Nigeria. RIP.
