The truck used in picking up the Super Falcons. How disgraceful!

The Nigerian female National Team, the Super Falcons, won the 2010 CAF Women's Championship that held in South Africa and ended last week. The truck you see above is what the NFF, (Nigeria Football Federation) sent to the airport to pick them up. How they think it's OK to carry these girls in this type of plantain/cow truck is beyond me.

*Long hiss*

  1. Nigeria simply doesn't respect or adequately reward women.

  5. Don't mind those NO FINE FUTURE (NFF) guys. It is FIFA that give them the chance to be there, if not they would have been thrown out since. They turn our SUPER FALCONS to cow. Yeye people.

  7. Just learn't from a T.V. sports programme that there is no female in the board of NFF. That is why they did not know how to handle the SUPER FALCON. Bunch of male chauvinists.

Learn't that the girls will be compensated in December, 2010 by by Federal Govt. of (Naija) Nigeria. Only hope that they will be adequately rewarded.

  24. I used to ride that trailer in my secondary school days and I tell you its dangerous even at a morderate speed.
The people in authority [whose children are likely riding inthe latest cars] do not value these ladies or their limbs.
I hope and pray that foreign scouts that appreciate their skills and hardwork them will recruit and rescue them from this dilema.
I also wish them a fruitful future.

  27. This is so not fair...this is not how to treat ladies who have succeeded in making Nigeria Proud....what manner of person Ordered them to be carried like baskets of tomatoes?

    ReplyDelete
  28. it is to get an open vehicle so that they can dance, wave and make merry with on lookers...(Nigeria does not have that double decker bus they use abroad)

So really it wasnt to slight them

  30. @ shadenonconformist, their very action pissed me real bad....i love the fact that they dwarf the achievements of their male counterparts..it pains me to see them treated as such.

    ReplyDelete
  31. They are really silly to have entered in the first place. I guess they've been giving NFF reason(s) to treat them the way they do cos they wont ever conceive the thoughts to do this to their male counterparts. They really deserve what they got cos they encouraged it from the onset. Whatever happened to 'stand up for your rights'! Falcons wey no no dem selves dey act like canary mscheew!

  32. who says we dont have a double decker bus. i know lagos state has and used some for the last eyo carnival it organized at tbs.

but i am really not surprised though, the under 17 girls were brought to MM2 in somn similar some months ago after their tourney in T&T. heck it was the popular lagos danfo bus that brought their luggage to MM2.
