Quote of the day!

'I was loyal to my leader, the late great President Umaru Yar'adua. I am loyal to Nigeria, I don't claim to represent North, South or a Committee. I represent Nigeria. I am loyal to Nigeria's economy, I don't have accounts or property abroad, ALL my children live and school in Nigeria. I am loyal to my wife and friends. Can those who accuse me say the same?'' GEJ.

  6. I will never understand why people have to be so negative all the time>>....he has my vote...he is the winner....I don't see anyone one else as qualified and knowledgeable as him to run Nigeria.....His name says it all...GOODLUCK NAIJA and stoop the complaints

  7. How could it have been said that a country's President had to send his children oversea to school as a result of the decadence in his country's educational system...the truth be said that's worth commending. He is patriotic if you ask me.how many of our Nigeria Leaders can say that confidently????

  8. Goodluck needs to man up.

This is mess of the highest order. We all know he's talking about Atiku, since he (GEJ) is President, and since some of what he's accusing Atiku of is illegal :

    Economic Sabotage

    and

    Maintaining bank accounts abroad

He should have EFCC or the Police go after Atiku, else GEJ needs to STHU...

  9. @chinwe i dont mean that am going to vote for him in the upcoming elections, all i did was giving him credit for having d balls to allow his kids school in Nigeria. Our education system may not work but it shows that the guy has not given up on the system.

and yes i give a shit where our leaders children school, i dont want to be governed by hypocrisy if u call yourself a leader you should be able to leave and survive with those you govern.

  18. His children are all babies, so when they grow up, trust me they will school abroad. He's loyal to his wife? Total tosh. Patience has no biological children with him, but he has kids with other women. Some loyalty i must say. Talking of the present, what of Diezani Allison Madueke? Hmmmmm!!

  19. All other Political office aspirants should emulate GLJ at least in the area of allowing their children (all) school in Naija (including aubty Dora, I know she wil hate me for using Naija, na she sabi) if the they are sincere about improving our educational system that is in dire need of reform. State minister for education take note. His kids are schooling in Ghana.

  20. John, it definitely takes more than 'Luck' (irrespective of GOOD of BAD) to run a country and Nigeria should not be an exception. Be critical in your thinking before u make comments.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @anon -comment 13. Actually Jonathan has children who are old enough to go to boarding school abroad (like most rich people's kids) and one in university... soo rephrase.

I don't know which goat is the best, I only know which animals will never get my vote

  26. I will Definitely be voting but not for any PDP candidate. I mean do they own Nigeria??? I dont even know y the debate is about Jonathan or Atiku, Cus as far as I know both have been in power before. Jonathan Governor of Balyesa and Atiku Fomer Vice President. They both have done nothing Significan to earn my vote or Nigerian's vote as far as am concerned. Nigerians its time to wake up and say enough of this recycled leaders and give someone a chance. Atleast then we can say change as come and we tried. God bless Nigerian and her inhabitants

  27. What is wrong with being loyal to your wife and caning babes outside?
I do the same and i'm loyal to my wife. That said, i agree with some commentators that his kids are not old enough to school abroad.
But come o...which other candidate should we vote for?..Dele Momodu?

  30. I give him credit for having his children study in the country, period. How many of the so called leaders in the country can really say the same? How many??
The Nigerian political situation is not something that happened overnight, it happened with time and it's going to take some time to get things better..not without resistance from those who want to keep the political status quo..

  31. whatever belongs to your spouse (wife in particular) is yours right?
Wasn't it his wife that was caughr embezzling money overseas?? Please, someone should tell Jonathan not to talk trash and try to be genuine. Goodluck lost my vote long time ago!

  32. Well, scripted speech...good for his campaign...really? can his accusers say the same?..ha! one point for him.....alas! who is counting?.. .hehheeehe

  33. I love GEJ as a man of integrity but i hate those people using the flagship of PDP to perpetrate their attrocities since we all knew that they don't have good governance since they had dominated the Nigeria politics in 1999, Nigerians still doesn't know right from their left, that's why we are still living in a predicament situation.
First dispensation was okay a little bit due to the involvement of ANPP & AD elected in National Assembly.I still prefer Military regime to this useless Democrazy we are practising, though Military are useless but they are still better than this Hoodlums calling themselves a politicians,i don't even know where we are going but my believe is dat things is going to be normal but only time will tell.

****** Hausa people are killing by ranka dede, though they might dominated Nigeria Politics but thier region is nothing to write home about compared to South west and South-South

****** Igbo people are also killing by disintegration,it is very hard for Igbo people to produce one Flagbearer for presidential vote but only time will tell.

****** Yorubawa (Hmmm) Oyo Ayomole, majolo mon wo eyin eeee, they are very hypocritical in Nature, they might supported you physically but they still have different motives,i can tell you vividly dat the brain behind the annulment of June 12 Election were Yorubas as well, that was why we had the interim President from the same state as MKO.

We have to change our attitude without been ecthnocentric in nature,so that we would be able to move Nigeria forward,it is high time to go for the right candidate.

    Proudly Nigerian!

  35. His wife couldn't bear children, so they had to go through another means. children outside or not, na she still be first lady so make una siddon jare. Out of the whole lot of them leaders, Jonathan is still the best. Not that he is very good or anything like that, but out of the whole bad lot, he is the best of the bad ones

    ReplyDelete
  36. If you call this man a man of integrity, you are of all men most miserable.

I have been thinking about it for a long time, i have finally decided; VOTE BUHARI FOR PRESIDENT!!!

  37. anon@12:11 is he having an affair with diezani allison madueke..pls enlighten us bcos i have not even heard about this...

What's wrong with 9jas if you want to make a point..pick up individuals and not the people..why is everything always justified by ethnicity like it makes you feel better..point the finger at OBJ..Awo..MKO..Akintola but then we had Gani..Fela..Soyinka...to counter them
So please for every Yoruba that was a so called betrayer the Yorubas too had people that were willing to die for Nigeria...and every Ethnicity has someone who was a champion of the people but seen as a tribalist Nationwide...Just like Sarah Palin is pandering to the sentiments of the average white person...Proudly Nigerian indeed!!
Did you read back what you wrote of course they had to fill in the interim with another Yoruba..(the one that would do their bidding)..you obviously a bit naive
Know your history and back it up..no pushing out random chat about people you hardly know or associate with...
GEJ is the best of a really bad bunch just like Fashola..we swimming in mediocrity that someone that happens to be a tad sane is championed..I'm waiting for Ribadu sha..after the GEJ tenure...

  39. why do Nigerians have to be so negative about other people? When the likes of Shagari and Babangida were looting Nigeria (at least this is what Nigerians say), they did not do anything about it. There were no mass protests on the streets of Nigeria unlike Brazil where people took to the streets each day until President Collor de Melo was forced to resign. I think the time has come to start talking with the feet rather than typing on the internet or just talking to each other without action!
