A 74-year old landlord in Ifako-Ijaye area of Lagos State, has given  his 28 tenants one month free rent in celebration of the 50th Independence anniversary of  Nigeria.

The landlord, Chief Sikiru Oladunjoye, told his tenants to not to pay the rent for  September, saying that he had used it as gift for them to celebrate the golden jubilee  of Nigeria.

All the tenants sang praises of the landlord of the house situated on 5 Oladunjoye  Street, Toyin bus stop, Iju-Ishaga.
Oladunjoye is the Baale of Obada-oko in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.

  3. That's very nice of him. And very sad that in Nigeria, this building is considered suitable for humans to reside. The govt cares nothing about the safety of the people, they don't inspect cars for road safety so someone would drive a car with a hole in the floor board and ruined the environment with exhaust fumes from a rusty, filty exhaust pipe. And they don't inspect homes either, who needs for house to have windows, be structurally safe, who needs plumbing? who needs electricity? Truly laughable, May God help us all!

  7. Jesus, some people donot value their life how can there be inhabitants on a building that would soon fall. The problem with Nigerians is that they like too much of free things
