KSA and Obey deny being rivals and speak on their One Night Stand concert

King Sunny Ade and Ebenezer Obey

King Sunny Ade: Ebenezer Obey and I were never rivals. It's the press that call us rivals. We used to do things together.
Ebenezer Obey: We are not rivals. I am myself and KSA is himself and our strength differs

On their One Night Stand Concert:KSA: It is something that I have always wished for but it didn't happen. When I heard about it, I was praying in my mind that God should let it be. But on the other hand, I doubted it would work. The moment we spoke to each other and we both agreed to do it, I knew God had a hand in it. So expect the best parts of both of us.

Ebenezer Obey: My response to the idea was that we should go ahead with it. The people who came up with the idea had the idea of one stage, one stand, one band, one night. It's just to celebrate us as icons at Nigeria's golden jubliee. Myself and KSA have been around for a long time. We want people to learn about unity, love and progress.

The once in a lifetime concert - One Night Stand - is billed to take place @ the Expo Hall of the Eko Hotel on Sunday November 7, 2010.
