Abused Toddler Duct Taped to Wall by Teenage Mother

Photographs in the case of a 22-month old boy who was duct taped to a wall by his teenage mother and her boyfriend have surfaced.

The boy's mother, 18-year-old Jayla Hamm, pleaded no contest to negligent child abuse. Hamm, an admitted drug user, received 10 days in jail and two years probation.

Her boyfriend, Corde Honea, 19, an ex-con, was sentenced to three to five years for child abuse and received an additional 12 to 24 months on felony possession of stolen firearms.

The boy has been returned to his mother's custody, but state health officials are monitoring the home, said Randall Ritnour, the Gage county attorney.

"This happened on New Year's Eve. They were getting high on pot and thought this was a fun thing to do," Ritnour said.

  2. That is no sentence at all. Her legs should be sewn together so that she won't be able to open it for any man talkless of getting pregnant.
