Charlotte Garside: The smallest girl in the world

At 23 inches tall, 2 year old Charlotte Garside, is the smallest girl in the world. The British toddler who is smaller than many of her playthings, has a rare form of primordial dwarfism that affects only 100 people in the world, but Charlotte may be the only person in the world with her subtype. The little girl who can't walk unaided because of a problem with her Achilles tendons, is fed through a tube 11 hours a day.

She is currently half the height she should be and doctor's don't know if she will grow taller.

  5. i've seen other primordial dwarfs on tyra banks show but her case seems to be worse; can't walk and feeds from a tube. that is severe. i wonder how long she's going to last on earth.

  6. @ anon 11:19AM There's nothing to laugh about. Imagine that happens to be one of your child. Are you gonna be laughing too?

She does look like a doll. I thought it was a doll, until I read the title. God Keep her, but then it's sometimes better to be in a good place(heaven) than go through it everyday.

  7. Yoga increases the stretching capacity of your muscles and bones so it is but proper to note that Yoga can help tone and muscle development of your back and other parts of the body and helps add a permanent inches to your height. Yoga is an exercise system that helps the body maintain body and mind balance.

  8. My gosh, people! How can you discuss her life span or if it's better to be in heaven! Yes she is a tiny Primordial Dwarf, but she is still a human and she is dearly loved by her family. All PD families love their little ones and according to interviews of older PDs, the PDs are pretty happy to be here.
(Actually, a friendly personality is a trait of primordial dwarfism.)
And although there are many medical issues associated with the condition, I'll bet if you asked any PD parent about their little child, I doubt that a single one of them would say that their life was not enriched from having such a special child.

  9. I feel bad for the other children in that family. It seems that they get neglected because of their siblings. I think anyone who says the kids with this are "cute" are just being nice. She looks like an alien. Let's call a spade a spade.

  10. Many people have issues and her family seems strong enough and there is enough love in there for all to do fine. They will do just fine. God Bless her and her family.

  11. Dear anonymous who said "She looks like an alien. Let's call a spade a spade." You obviously don't have children, and if you do they should probably be taken away and given to crackheads. They would be better off with someone who has at least a partial heart. You are a terrible person.

  13. My heart goes out to little Charlotte Garside and her family. I only hope that they can find a cure for this horrible disease soon so that, maybe, hopefully, she can enjoy a normal life. I am sympathetic as I too stopped growing when I was about her age, but thanks to growth hormone I have taken, over many years, I am of average height for my age now. May God watch over her and protect her. She is precious. Take care.
