Soyebi appointed as INEC acting chairman




















Mr. Solomon Adedeji Soyebi, 55, has been appointed as the Acting Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC].

The new INEC Acting Chairman studied Chemistry at the University of Ibadan in Oyo state, south-west Nigeria in 1978.

He served as a High School Principal in various schools for about twenty years before joining the Independent National Electoral Commission in 2003.  Soyebi has served at various times as Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun state, Abia state, Akwa-Ibom state, Cross River state, Kano state and Lagos state.

Soyebi was once credited to have conducted one of the freest and fairest election in Abia State in 2007.
