The Ghana Central Bank has introduced the GH
c2 note. The note has the portrait of Ghana's first President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah, and a commemorative text inscribed as 'Centenary of the birth of Dr. Kwama Nkrumah' to celebrate the year-long anniversary of Ghana's visionary leader. The new note, which is also believed to serve as a bridge currency note between the GH
c1 and GH
c5, will be put into circulation next month.
Nkruma died in 1972
