RIP Alexander McQueen

Leading British fashion designer Alexander McQueen, has committed suicide. The 40-year-old was reportedly found hanged in his luxury flat in London's Green Park today Thursday 11, 2010, just days after his mother Joyce died.

Alexander McQueen, was the quintessential bad boy made good, rising from London's East End via couture house Givenchy to his own label to become one of Britain's best known and most unique designers.

His tragic death comes days before London Fashion Week and a month before he was due to showcase his new designs at Paris Fashion Week.

What a sad way to go. You would think he had a lot to live for. Why do people commit suicide?

  6. Hi Linda,
People commit suicide because they feel like there is no way out, they are in a vacuum and the only way to get out is to kill themselves. It's a lie of the devil there is a way out, this is sad! God bless U!

  7. No matter the situation, suicide must never be an option. May he find peace now. His industry lives on. What a waste at just 40. All is vanity.

  9. His death sucks big time. He was one of those in the league of J.Paul Gaultier etc who made runway shows fun!

For all we care to know, he might have been struggling with depression and then his mother's death tipped him over the edge.

@nonimus:The last time I checked Suicide=Hell for staunch Catholics! I see it as you can't be judged for what you don't believe in.

@Anonymous: It's just another coincidence. Ain't nobody trying to wipe out the gays. If they succeed the fashion industry as we know it will fall flat on it's face and Hollywood will definitely not be left out! lol

RIP Alexander McQueen. I hope Lady Gaga does a stunning tribute in his name. She's a fan of his I hear!
