The biggest quake to hit the country in 200 years leaves a grim scene of bodies and crushed buildings - following a major earthquake on January 13, 2010 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. A 7.0 earthquake rocked Haiti today, followed by at least a dozen aftershocks, causing widespread devastation in the capital of Port-au-Prince. According to the The Red Cross, upto three million people have been affected and thousands are feared dead. (Population of the country is a little over 9 million)
Some pictures from the devastation that has left hundreds of thousands homeless...
Even the presidential palace was also brought down.
Our hearts go out to the people of Haiti. May God give you the strength to overcome this.
Such a sad thing to happen. RIP to all the dead!
ReplyDeleteWhat a measurable life now there! I would like to apply to the people who have a ability to help them please help. Who have no ability to help at least pray for them.
R.I.P to those who has lost their lives.
ReplyDeleteYou know this makes me say thank you Jesus for Nigeria(we do not have any bad conditions that affect us like this) except for our leaders! I feel so bad and have chills sent down my spine cos my friends family are involved in this too...Lets just send prayer to Haiti that the good Lord help them(My friend says its God trying to make a statement in Haiti due to their country's belief)
ReplyDeleteThe death toll is still increasing. May God rest their souls.
ReplyDeleteA very traumatic experience, may God give the affected people the fortitude to bear the loss of their loved ones. Really, Nigeria is so blessed, we should not take the grace of the Lord for granted.
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS A TERRIBLE WAY TO START D YEAR,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I PRAY DAT GOD SHD PLEASE HAVE MERCY AND HELP THEM TO RECOVER QUICK.
ReplyDeletemay God help haiti people....may their souls rest in peace.NIGERIANS SHOULD LEARN FROM THIS .GOD LOVES THIS COUNTRY AND OUR LEADERS ARE MESSING UP.
ReplyDeletedem this is a mess may God bless all who this has affected and grant them serenity . This thing can happen anywere and i pray say this kind thing no go come Naija.
ReplyDeleteGod does not make a statement by killing people. Christians worldwide are supposed to pray for the saints and for the unbelievers. It's good to appreciate the grace of God but it's better to help others benefit from this grace. This is a wake-up call for everyone, there is witchcraft everyone in Africa and as a matter of fact the witchcraft came from Africa and Haitians are just are brothers.
