Hmmm.... na wa. E don reach naija full force naim be this o! I'm all for being who u r, but in public? In naija? I've been gone for too long maybe that's y i am surprised.
LMAO naija is tryin o, emulating everything they do in yankee. wow. Even if what they do here is sinful ppl in Nigeria are that stupid and simple to try it? Nigeria NA WA!
Jeez there are so many phucktard nigerians running around sha. Some1 was most likely browsing porn and jumped on this website and calling something evil. fuck u dumbassholes men.
To the Anonymous poster, Nigerians annoy you, so why are you on a predominantly Nigerian blog?
Nigerians are not the only ones who disagree with homosexuality, in case you hadn't noticed. Sounds to me, like you have something against Nigerians, generally.
Isn't it great to post rude comments under 'anonymous'.
Besides, people are entitled to their opinion, just as you are entitled to yours. Each to his or her own anyway.
I am a guy and i see nothing wrong in that pic. All you saying this and dat, sin is sin... whether you lie or steal. Pls pple wake up and smell the coffee. There are gay,bi men and women in Nigeria, so what? So far they don't disturb my peace.
I cannot understand why Nigerians always choose to blame the Western world for the current mindset of its people.... and worse... like Anonymous 5 said, their holier than thou mentality. I went to an all-girls secondary school and the issue of lesbianism was always a major concern and I doubt this was as a result of the so-called Western influence because it wasn't even so popular in the late 80s/early 90s though it existed.
So please people get real! These are 2 grown individuals who for some reason have chosen to show a public display of affection and it may even have been a popularity stunt. I do not condone it but "live and let live" is what I say. And if you must blame anyone, blame the individuals and not the Western world.
Besides, for those who keep acting self righteous, tell me which is the greater sin? Homosexualism or fornication/adultery? What right do you have to judge when you are probably fornicating, committing adultery or performing all other forms of sexual acts? Does it make it right simply because you are committing the sin with a member of the opposite sex?
So please like the Bible says, remove the log in your own eye before attempting to remove the speck in another man's eye. And get used to the fact that Nigeria has changed and as much as it may be some form of culture shock, the sooner you realise that it is here to stay, the better for you.
Linda, abeg leave it on the site jare. Journalism is all about telling it like it is and mixing the pleasant with the not so pleasant. You don't aways have to show people what they only want to see. As distasteful and controversial as this topic may seem, it's still part of what you have chosen to inform people in your blog, after all it is gossip so yeah... nice one!
Who are al these blind people making noise about gays? Did you not see the lil' adam's apple in the middle? Looks to me like a three way kiss, sandwich, whatever. I see some libation on the table, too much shackis?
p.s. lesbian at the club for attention is all the rage these days. Those girls are most likely straight. Full on and proper lesbians will not let a boy/man jump all up in the mix. Most bi-sexuals are not bisexual at the same time, that's just nasty.
It's so pathetic how prudish most of us act. Yet, we are doing even worse. You mean to tell me that we find it so "surprising" that there are gay people in Nigeria? There have been gay people in Nigeria since forever...It's just that more people are not open about it, deny it,keep it on the D-L.... Also, America/Western societies have got nothing to do with this (Why do we always attribute our problems to others?). So you mean the girls in the picture/gay people in Nigeria simply choose to copy non-Nigerians sexuality just because of their love for everything foreign? please.get real..now I'm not saying i condone homosexuality...the bible says it's a sin and the bible is the truth..but for some of us to type away and act like we are better than the girls in the picture is extremely laughable and hypocritical...
From some of the comments i read, it comes across like people need more exposure..As a society in general, we need to be more exposed/enlightened...not exposure in terms of adopting differing lifestyles/beliefs right left and center...but exposure so that we can stop the ignorant comments like "In Nigeria??" or "I can't believe this happens in Nigeria"...If people can sacrifice their "loved ones" for money or politics in Nigeria...then there is nothing new under the sun....
i don't understand y people keep saying for people to get real and stop being self righteous that gayism is the norm now in naija. Fine, apart from the anon that said to kill them, everyone else is acting mostly out of shock, and i don't see y that is a problem.
@ Shade the noncomformist, u claim to believe in the bible whole heartedly and according to u, u dont condone it, but then u r quick to rebuke people that are disgusted by homosexuality? shebi sin is sin? so will it be okay for someone to put up a picture of an active murder, and for people to act shocked and rebuke the killer, only for someone else to come and tell them to stop acting self-righteous, that killers are everywhere, and to live and let live.
Na soup-pay we dey call am... Make una wey never do am shout una mouth. I kiss my girlfriends for attention from guys in the club. I never lick to-to though, as am not ready to take it far. For men and women condemning, do you know what your husband is doing in secret with his male pals or wife with her female pals. Ogbono, don dey Nigeria te-te (hiss) and no be oyinbo, bring am come Nigeria. Go to boarding school, you will see girls comparing and touching each other's knocker's and chicken satay. For example, FGGC Oyo, calls it 'jechu'. In fact most of the men in Nigeria are into men as well secretly only becos they don't flaunt it like the MA-LA-BO's in the pic above. Any man or woman wanna do me? Call me on 0800-500-300. Serious pple only
@ Olive, it appears that you misunderstood me. There was no where in my previous comments that i mentioned that people SHOULD NOT judge the girls in the picture. I specifically said that people should not "act like they are BETTER than the girls in the picture or that their sins are SMALLER or LESS SINFUL than homosexuality". I believe we both agree that sin is sin. What irks me is when we judge others because we think that we are BETTER than them. Judgement should come from a place of sincerity/honest love and concern for others not a place of self-righteousness, which was the attitude i got from some people who left comments.
We all judge people but there are people who take it way too far and act like they themselves are beyond reproach.... Also, i don't know why some of us like to pretend like Nigeria is this "holier than thou" nation...it's so stupid. It's safe to generalize and say that most people know that all manner of nefarious and abominable acts occur in our beloved country but we seem to always appear "shocked". why? beats me...
I am totally against Gay marriage and also 2 people of the same sex raising a child, however what 2 people want to do with their own time is up to them. This is a sin according to the bible (just like lying) but they are not hurting anyone so why the outrage? We have and continue to have leaders that are bi-sexual, why not go and shout in there faces? In Nigeria my @ss. If this can happen in countries like Saudi Arabia where they'll probably kill you for it, why not it Nigeria where there's a high level of Murder, 419, Adultery, Corruption, Witchcraft, Robbery, Slavery.......this list can go on.
Linda's Blog is not a Religious Blog, it's a medium that shares news and knowledge and promotes dialogue. Move past the picture if you cannot deal with it. Thank you.
Beauty and Health Editor, I'm not forcing my opinion on you. Just being honest and forthcoming- Nigerians like you annoy me. Finish. I'm allowed to be annoyed by who I'm annoyed by na. Why u dey vex? Lol!
Ur whole point about me forcing my opinion on others is nonsensical. To start with, I said that I get annoyed by people who think it should be their way of the highway- that is people who try to force their opinion on others. And you are critcizing that? And in doing so you are saying that I am wrong for trying to force the opinion that people who force their opinion are wrong?
