P-Square gets N30 million for 'Danger'

~ Chilee Agunanna (Encomium magazine)

As we expectantly await the release of P-Square's latest album, Danger, more interesting facts have continued to emerge as to the exquisiteness of the work.

The appointed marketer, CN Media has alleged made a down payment of N30 million as part of the royalties of the album. This is the highest so far paid for any musical work in Nigeria and they are not even outrightly purchasing rights to the work according to the current practice in the industry. It still permanently remains the intellectual property of the Okoye brothers.

A chat with a ranking staff of CN Media confirmed this. Also the lead single of the album 'Danger' was released last week, while the video was released this week. The album, a 10-tracker like the previous ones, drops this month.
