Naija Entertainment News.

Finally I bring you Naija Entertainment news.
I am going to start with the shocking news reported by Encomium magazine this week that Tuface's longtime pregnant girlfriend, Annie Macauley, has lost her baby.
Here's the story according to the mag.
"Actress and one of Tuface Idibia's girlfriends, Annie Macauley has lost her pregnancy. The pathetic incident occurred on saturday April 12 2008, along Gbagada Express, Lagos. According to our sources, Annie was in a car with her cousin when they were attacked by unknown gunmen. She was rough handled and in the process, she suffered a miscarriage. Hours later, 2face raced to her bedside reassuring her of his love and that the good lord who brought the first one will bring another one. Annie was said to be six months pregnant when the sad incident occurred."
Like I said earlier, I don't know how true this story is. I only know she was attacked, I don't know if she lost her baby. God, I hope not!

Star actress Genevieve Nnaji is set to launch a fashion label (as reported by Stella Dimoko Korkus)

My cloth-line 'St. Genevieve will be something that will appeal to those that have genuine fashion taste"
I wish her all the best with this. I love the name she choose...St. Genevieve...very sexy! Kudos girl!

  6. ummm i dont believe that Stephanie's endorsement deal one bit...the figures that is....
Who knows stephanie here in the US but africans that watch her movies? and urr...we make up like what? a tiny fraction of the population here. Why would n e one give her such a huge endorsement deal with her OWN LINE?! I'd understand if she's just modelling for the line and all...but for n e company to stamp ur name on their product u must be a well known superstar, bcos ur name is what will garner the sales for them....So, since most pple dunno who da heck she is, y would someone stamp her name on their product? def. not for publicity. Or maybe she created her own line...And pls, who will buy her stuff for such an outrageous price?! This is y i dont believe the story bcos even US celebs with their own perfume lines dont usually sell theirs for n e thing over a hundred...and here comes "stephanie who?" with almost a $200 dollar worth of product...lol...yea right! What market is she aiming for? and would pple want to buy a "no name" product for such an outrageous price? Then again, maybe she's selling them in naija.

    Nma..

  9. I don't beleive the multi-million dollar contract thing for stephenie. Na beans even established models and celebrities in the States don't easily get those kinds of deals, talkless of unknowns. Why would any company give that kind of money, when she is not an already established star, how are they sure she s going to bring any revenue to their company. Abeg this one na lie, maybe she meant equivalent of 5 million naira thats more beleivable.

  10. The Stephanie Okereke gist sounds quite unrealistic because COVERGIRL pays a model $100,000 so how will a cosmetic firm no one has heard of pay $1 million?

Even Oscar winners get pain $1 million for one movie I don't know why this gist can be true.

    hmmmmmm!!!!

  11. its about time genevieve had a clothing line....lol and i like the name st. genevieve. plus kudos to stephanie and stella

  12. I very much doubt that Stepahi Okereke story.
I'e never heard of that cometic line, and for any model to get such a deal, they must be pretty well known internationally.
I don't know what market this product is for, but I doubt very much that this would be for the American market.
Perhaps you meant to sai one million naira!

How much do people like penelope cruz, liya kedebe, halle berry etc make as spokespersons for revlon products etc
Please, I beg... lets be real!

  13. HOLY SH*T!! IT PAYS to be a Naija celeb. are u serious????
someone please sign me up lol.

  14. Just for the record, Stephanie Okereke does NOT have any such deal!!! She has this habit of getting these ridiculous information out in the public. She also gave an interview (check utube) about her being in a Robert Deniro movie (The Good Shepard). The fact is she auditioned for the movie and did not get the part but had already announced that she was going to be in the movie.

The truth of the matter is; the cosmetic line in question is looking for a "fresh face" for the new campaign. Meanwhile Stephanie has contacted the agency incharge of recruting the models, has sent in her photos but HAS NOT heard from them yet! And just between you and I, she DID NOT get this part either:(

I think she is a good actress and I love her, but I just gave you the facts.

  22. @ stephanie's contract.
$190 for a cream, and $165 for a perfume? ( or did I miss read?)
Are you serious? who in heaven's name spends that much. I guess Nigerians are making mad greens that people in the here in the states.

It had better transforms me to the most beautiful woman in the world.

I keep Annie in prayers. May the lord help her through this dificult times.

  24. Can we leave Tuface and his many women alone for once? Really, we are making them to feel important. Is their choice pls let's give them some privacy. Atimes I imgaine how they feel each time they read all these things about them.

St. Genevieve, good job and keep it up. While your critic are busy running you stop, you come out shuting their mouths with your achievements. Way to go girl!

Stephanie after all the marital buhaha, you have hit the biggest contract of your life ever. Sure knows how to reward his own. Though some bad belle says the contract is not for real, Nigerians learn to wish ur fellow nigerian well. if na fake na she sabi and na her name she dey spoil. shikina!

Stella Damasus, didn't God say He is the husband of the widow? God is good!

  25. for those who dont believe Stephanie's cosmetics contract, check the site here. http://lmajinc.com/
click on skincare and then find sensual by Stephanie. I hear she's also bringing the product to Nigeria.
@Tonipayne, my darling i dont have ur no...how can i get it?

  26. I just visited the site, while Stephanie may be their face, the amount is just ridulous, but I do no think she is the one inflating the figures, the press probably is.

I wish Anne a very quick recovery and hope that her pregnancy s safe. It doesnt matter who the father is, no woman deserves to lose a pregnancy particularlly not at six mnths and not through circumstances that could have been avoided like armed robbery. May God be with the lady.

  27. Em Linda, nobody said they don't beleive that she had a contract, our problem was the monetary value of the contract. I still call bullshit on it, no way an unknown company is paying her a million dollar a year for an internet print ad. This is how ppl decieve ppl that haven't leave naija about America, yes you can make money here but abeg its not that easy to make. Isn't it Regina Askia that stays lying to ppl in Naija that she is some kinna actress in America when the only time ppl hear of her here is when she is on one of the floats at naija Ind day parade in NYC. I don't even think Victoria's Secret pays Oluchi that much and she is on their print and TV ad and is famous and they are a huge company.
