Let's start with the Moji/Gbenga scandal. According to Encomium magazine Moji finally made a comment about her divorce scandal to the press. They said on Thursdat Jan 31st 08, Moji told them via SMS "Everyone to his conscience..I am not talking to the press. Thank you very much for showing concern in this issue"

The two artistes and the management of Storm Records decided tp part ways when they couldn't arrive at a compromise. This headline and story is either absurd or funny. Here it is...found in one of our local gossip mags.
D'Banj, Ruggedman, KC Presh deny engaging in fraudulent business.
'We don't do yahoo yahoo'
According to the mag...'The astonishing wealth which has become the major characteristic of most Nigerian hip hop artistes has been ascribed to internet fraud better known as yahoo-yahoo. Accoding to information at our disposal, the artistes who are allegedly into illegal practice have their own internet facilities and have their own guys who are instumental to the success of their illegitimate deals. The source further disclosed that most of these artistes have their agent in London, adding that they only hide under the umbrella of entertainment while making millions of naira through internet fraud.

The artistes react

KC Presh "That is not true. We don't have time. The problem is that some Nigerians are lazy and they think everybody is like them. Showbiz is big business anywhere in the world. A serious artiste can make clean money. We make money from album sales, shows and event packaging. We are not aware of hip hop artistes who have descended so low to abandon arts for internet fraud"

D Banj "It can't be true. Where is the time to do that? Besides all of you know DBanj is a very hardworking person. I am always busy and occupied with shows and you can imagine the millions I make from shows and they come regularly. I also get endorsements worth millions of naira, so how would I descend so low to the extent of engaging in internet fraud? I don't even have the time to check my mails, let alone browsing. So, it is a white lie"

Ruggedman "I don't know anything about that my brother"

  8. Good way to go for Alh. Esho, at least He died in Saudi Arabia which I believe is closer to heaven or hell, wherever he chose to go. He forgot that Arab people don't joke with drug peddlers. Anyways whatz up with armed robbers this days in lagos,I thought they said security had improved in Naija. That is scary o.Because if we hear of all these popular guys being robbed, what about thousands of common people that we dont hear about. BRF do something o. Linda you are doing a good job.We love you

  11. Very juicy gists, thanx, its a pity about Esho, may his soul rest in peace. As for the yahoo, yahoo gist na wa for usoooo, any one living well is either stealing govt mney or doing yahoo yahoo. I hear Pastor goody goody collects abt 700k for a show particularly in Calabar, and he's not even B-list artist, so imagine what the others would be taking home, let those mags just do the maths. Entertainment is big in naija and hopefully it will only get bigger.

  12. Linda,
I'll also commend your efforts. well done.
For Babatunde Esho, that is what greed does and it serves him right. What it means is that BAT motors was just a camoflag afterall and when his cup was full, he was publicly beheaded. He was selling the substance to destroy lives to live big and dash out cars and today he is six feet under.
Moji&Gbenga Obasanjo, I am waiting for the details pls, to hell with these shameless individuals and as far as I am concern, it serves that right.
Sunny Okosun while you are out doing God's business, He will take care of your health business. Amen.
Deola, our own icon you are just the best. When will you come to Abuja?
Tee-A my main guy sorry o! The good Lord will restore a 100 hold what u have lost. We bless God that you are alive to tell the story o!
Same sympathy goes to Bash Ali though I have never liked him but I will never wish him bad.
I agree with KC Presh and the rest of the guys that lazy Nigerians enjoy pulling hardworking Nigerians down. Don't we see these guys daily on TV, Newspapers and Magazine either doing gigs or endorsing products? Wicked liars get serious and not jealous.
Ibinabo 3 kids for 3 men, is this something to be proud off? Fred, why allow the enemy destroy your home? Can't you forgive her? As far as I am concern is frying pan to fire for Fred bcos Ibinabo is no saint either. who says he owns d child sef?
Dare is a good material any day and i wish him well bcos i know he'll deliver anothe boomber.
Fatai Rollin' Dollars are u sure that child is not imbeccile? Shameless old man. Poor child
