Van Vicker quote

The very good looking actor who is part Ghanaian, Liberian and Dutch said this in a recent interview...

“...I believe in being as humble as possible because it’s an amazing thing for me to be huge, but yet, be so humble. Being a star has got advantages and disadvantages. The disadvantages outweigh the advantages.... ” he said.

The disadvantages of being a celebrity outweighs the advantages?
I don't know if I agree with that. But you have to be a celeb to know huh? lol

I don't think Peter and Paul Okoye will agree with the statement

Do you agree or disagree with Van's statement?

This is the picture of a very pretty lady called Linda. She's fine huh? lol

The pictures are thanks to a reader of this blog called Alex Okoroji. You rock girl, thanks!
Just wish I had such radiant skin in real life. The power of photoshop.

Where is the best place to meet a wife material?

I heard some people arguing about this recently. Most of them seemed to agree that the best place to meet a wife material is at church, work place and weddings. A few agreed you can meet a wife material at a party but nobody agreed that you can meet a wife material in a CLUB!

I don't know if I agree with that. Some pretty decent girls hang out at clubs (Maybe not frequently) with friends and relatives. And some pretty not-too-decent women attend weddings, churches and keep jobs.

I personally think you can meet people ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE. And that includes clubs!

What do you think?

World's youngest mother

Kordeza

Kordeza Zhelyazkova, an 11 year old girl from Bulgaria, just gave birth to her daughter, making her the world’s youngest mother.

While Kordeza and the baby are healthy and in high spirits, Jeliazko, the 19 year old father of the child, now faces six years in jail for having sex with a minor. The father says that he was fearful and really scared when he found out Kordeza was pregnant. He says they didn’t plan to have sex or a baby although he fell in love with Kordeza the moment he laid eyes on her.

He added: ‘I was walking past the school when I saw some boys mocking her and I told them to leave her alone.
‘Then she arranged to meet me and asked me out on our first date. I thought she was 15. She didn’t tell me she was 11.’
Kordeza added: ‘I didn’t want to say in case he wouldn’t fancy me.’
Their daughter was conceived within a week of their meeting.

Kordeza said: ‘I didn’t know I was pregnant until my grandmother saw I had put on weight. I just thought I’d eaten too many burgers.’
Her grandmother Dida, 55, said: ‘It’s normal for our girls to have babies young. It’s our tradition. But I didn’t want it for my Kordeza – I felt she was too young.’

The family planned a three-day Roma wedding for October 22 – so Kordeza and Jeliazko could be married before the baby was born. But Kordeza went into labour a week early, on the second day of the ceremony.

She said: ‘I had been having pain in the morning and a couple of hours into the wedding it got worse.’
She was rushed to hospital and gave birth 20 minutes later.
Kordeza said: ‘It was quite easy but painful too. I was very happy when I saw her. She has a nose like me and hair like Jeliazko.’

Both grandmothers will be guardians of baby Violeta, and Kordeza and her daughter will receive £70 a month in state benefits.

The age of consent in Bulgaria is 14.

Here’s what Kordeza had to say about being a mom:

‘It feels strange to be a mum and have a baby. I used to play with my toys but now she is my new toy. She is so beautiful, I love her. Violeta is the child and I must grow up. I am not going back to school – I am a mother now.’

The age of consent is 14? I find that quite pitiful. Having sex and being a mum when you are supposed to be a child. Really sad!

Kordeza and her child have a really long road ahead of them. I only hope they find good people to guide them through the right path and push them to something better.

Thoughts on this?

My sexy younger sister, Laura Ikeji, who is an up and coming rapper, with new single 'Scoin Scoin' soon to be released, is also a fantastic dancer with her own dance group called 'Naija Dance Academy' and she's also a trained fitness instructor.

I'm too jealous. I'm supposed to be the model in the house but she has taken all the sexiness. I'm going to the studio to take a similar picture - but maybe I'm too old to be showing off that much skin?
Oh how I wish I were 21 again...lol
*I kid*

Rihanna finally breaks silence over abuse

The singer gave an interview to Glamour Magazine and this is what she had to say about being a victim of domestic abuse

''Domestic violence is a big secret. No kid goes around and lets people know their parents fight. Teenage girls can’t tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up. You don’t dare let your neighbor know that you fight. It’s one of the things we [women] will hide, because it’s embarrassing. My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women...It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women.''

It took her quite a while to talk about this. It must have been quite a traumatic experience for her. I know a lot of women do not speak out about domestic violence - but is that the best way to deal with it? Silence? Not talking to family and friends about it?
