Over the weekend, Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane was arrested in Miami, Florida for theft, credit card and identity fraud. OAP, Daddy Freeze has come out to defend him saying that one mistake doesn't define him and that the pressure on young entertainers is unimaginably enormous. He wrote;
"This gentleman is a good person. One of the most respectful young people I know. One mistake doesn't define him.

In a country where money is king, young people are still making money small small. One mistake doesn't define him but trust me as long as he lives,he can't erase this record. No justification for fraud and other vices.

This is one of the dumbest things a grown ass man can say,there is no excuse for fraud or any kind of crime regardless of whatever the pressure is on the individual.He might as well have carried a gun to rob and he would be excused because of the amount of pressure on young people.You are supposed to be a role model to young kids but with a statement like that you are nothing but a DISGRACE. Is that what you are going to teach your kids that crime pays as there is a lot of pressure on young ones today. I have been in the position to commit fraud several times but i refuse to set my standards low and will never bow to riches that are not mine.

The United States has zero tolerance for theft and fraud especially a foreigner. This a mistake too huge, may God not let us see such. As for Freeze, I just pray you don't go into apostasy. You look to me like someone who needs help.

Nigerian s lack fellow feeling -- The ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes and ask "if it was my mom's credit card someone stole what would I do?" Nigerians wouldn't know, because we don't have credit cards here. If someone steals your credit card they can buy whatever they want, and the debt (ATM cards in Nigeria are debit cards, credit cards means you are borrowing money You don't Have!) accumulate s to YOU! They credit card issuer is not going to pay the loan just because your card was stolen -- You have to pay for somebody's enjoyment. That's why credit card theft is taken seriously in the US because It can ruin lives.
P.S. and if you don't pay in time or fully, you get a bad credit record which means no company will issue you lone again until you clear your record -- WITH MORE MONEY!!!

I did a search on Google and here's what I got from one of the credit card issuers in the US of A: Credit Sesame's insurance never replaces stolen money that has been taken from a bank, savings, or other financial account. Like most other identity theft insurers, Credit Sesame also won't reimburse identity theft costs if the theft occurred under suspect conditions. ... They only cover cases of identity fraud." This is a case of stolen credit card and identify fraud not identify theft! So the owner has to pay through his/ her credit card insurance policy.

So for each credit card stolen a money printer is availble for the bank to just print and put back into the account, does it give you the right to take what is not yours???
