Festival, Afropolitan Vibes, said; "I think 'Afrobeats' is the most
insulting terminology ever invented. Nigerian pop music is not
Afrobeats." Music Lovers, do you agree?

This guy must be gay or something weird. Are you not African? Why should afrobeats offend you? Mumu can beer. Forming Akata who think being called black is derogatory maybe we are all color blind and Akata is actally white not black.
Be proud of who you are and appreciate recognition when appropiated. I love Afrobeats.

Interesting view. I think he means that Afrobeats is originally that of the likes of Fela, Lagbaja and it should remain that way, unadulterated. While Nigerian pop music refers the reigning trend in commercial music, not necessarily a genre.

Blasphemy! Presently music in Nigeria has no classification; and the alleged musicians has no clarification. Afrobeats came from a lineage of professional musicians who to date are continentally recognised not rappers on sequences. And by the way, who are you please ?
You be mumu. Afrobeat is what Fela created. Naija/african pop/hip hop is different from Afrobeat. But oyinbo wants name our music for us. Try to understand someone before castigating him.
