One year after, Ahmed Musa steps down as assistant captain of the Super Eagles

Ahmed Musa, has stepped down as assistant captain of the Nigerian Super Eagles just one year after he assumed the role.

Musa informed coach Gernot Rohr of his decision before the kick off of their friendly match against Senegal, at The Hive Stadium in London last night.
 
The news was made public by BBC reporter, Oluwashina Okeleji via his Twitter account saying “Breaking: Leicester City winger Ahmed Musa has stepped down as assistant captain of #Nigeria ahead of tonight’s friendly against #Senegal.”
