This,to me, is an insult to Nigeria(PHCN). It is not their fault now....

Nigeria's next door English-speaking neighbor, Ghana, is working hard to ensure regular power supply to all citizens, residents, and visitors in Ghana. Nigeria is busy making a fool of herself with her Minister for Power et al advocating and indeed commissioning this contraption, a good initiative though but preferably for those living in the wilderness and far away from civilization.
The joke is on Nigeria. Nigeria is now a ridicule in the eyes of the international community.

Ok, its a toy box for small scale power. Cannot serve needs like grinding/blending, ironing, refrigeration and air-conditioning. They should just make it more affordable to the less privileged.

While it is a good initiative, it does not cover heavy duty items like Fridge, Freezer or ironing. You will still need to run the generator to power these other appliances outside of PHCN. The initial setup cost has to also be considered as the 'Power in a box' will not be given to you free.

This is a welcome development from MTN. Its absolutely true that Nigeria can be better by the day, only if all stakeholders in every field of endeavour could think outside the box.

So MTN aren't okay with the plenty they have made from Nigerians...Our unpatriotic govt do not see a future for this country..You have failed in providing light, water and other amenities and u use the money you get from Nigeria to develop another man's country by investing it there

Did i hear you say this is affordable, @ #200 daily multiplied by 30 days in a month is #6000.

and you the poor and the average man in our society can afford it. How is Ikeji, Eko bill or even prepaid bill for for one month our Government is aiding a south African company to be milking her citizens dry by not providing the right amenities.

See this MTN they are greedy people. Upon all the money they have made in Nigeria, still they're not OK. Before transfer of airtime was free. But now they deduct money. Now Solar electricity, #200:00 and the light will last 24/7.hmmm for how long. Nawa for MTN. I don't trust them.

The came with this initiative in the first place that,if after 5 years of usage the appliances recharge mechanism will be deactivated and it becomes your that is, with the regular recharge of #110 daily, within some months the recharge amount was increase from #110 daily to #200 the questions here is, what becomes the faith of an agreement of 5 year, would it now be reduced to two and half years or is it all lies and way of exploitation that is the question all their agent that call me to recharge were unable to answer and I stop using mine until they answer my question, and if the keep pressing me to recharge I think consumer protection board will have to settle us

This is a trap people. You pay #200 daily for about 3years, you term this affordable. It can only give you 80 watts, thats about 3 bulbs, or no bulb and TV. This is share wickedness. MTN and their partner want to leverage on our govt ineptitude and milk us dry.... how will this help poor people?

indeed our leaders have failed totally. It's a big shame that with all the stolen funds by politicians in this country, none of the useless politician can use their brain to come up with ideas that will create jobs and solve solutions for Nigerians. The same South Africans that we are threatening to send out out and attack are the ones creating jobs for and solving issues for Nigerians. it's very devastating to say the least. #200 to get steady power supply. of course it is better than using ear deafening generators that has killed lots of families. shame! shame! shame! to our useless leaders.
