7-month-old baby fighting for her life after being raped by step father in Katsina State

A seven-month-old baby is fighting for her life at the Turai Umar Yaradua Maternity and Children Hospital, Katsina after she was allegedly raped by her step father, Magaji Dansade.

According to Daily Trust, Dansade raped his step daughter last week in his house at Dangaske Village in Musawa local government.The spokesperson for the Katsina State Police Command, Isa Gambo, who confirmed the incident said the suspect has since been arrested and the Commissioner of Police is expected to brief on the matter tomorrow.

    How do mothers not pick up on these signs? It's so scary knowing that this could happen to any one of our children. I love and trust my husband, but i'm beginning to think that everyone needs to be watched. Even if he would never do such, I can't trust that his friends won't when he's being careless and not looking. Men are not as observant as us mothers/women, so if it happens behind his back he might not even notice. I'm definitely keeping a very close eye on things.
