Police saves alleged serial rapist from angry lynch mob in Uganda

Police in Kasangati, Wakiso district, Uganda has rescued a man accused of accused of waylaying and raping women in the area.

The suspect identified as Habib Uwimaana was apprehended by members of the community as he tried to rob a woman early on Wednesday morning.

A crowd quickly gathered to lynch him but police officers intervened to save the suspect by firing live bullets into the air in an attempt to disperse the angry mob.
