Two more newly converted sex workers tie the knot in Omega power ministry

On Saturday, 17th of December, two female former sex workers who have now repented following evangelization from Omega Power Ministry, got married.

The marriage was officiated by the general overseer of the ministry, Apostle (Dr) Chibuzor Gift Chinyere at the OPM branch church in GRA Port Harcourt...

The wedding of Gloria and Nset (not their real names) is the third in its series with two other rehabilitated prostitutes married within the past three months. During the ceremony, Apostle Chinyere said he was delighted to see both girls married to men of their choices. He also promised not to relent in his efforts to ensure that all the OPM converted sex workers get married and live a sinless life.

The grateful brides who both revealed that they went into prostitution, not out of choice but as a result of their situation thanked the man of God for giving them a new life. Their grooms were also grateful and thanked the Apostle for sponsoring their wedding and providing them with accommodation after the wedding.

  6. Wouldn't it make more sense to grant these couples some privacy instead of "outing" them this way? What purpose would this serve except oppto boost the 'apostle's ego?

    1. Churches have different doctrines. Catholics do not allow pure white gown if you are not a virgin but penticostal churches allow it because they key into the word of God that says; when you give your life to christ and repent and get born again, you are now a new creature because old things are passed away. If old things are passed away, you cannot be judged with your past anymore as long as you genuinely repent and never go back to your old ways

    2. If u refuse them to wear white gowns, it means you are still holding on to their past mistakes even after they have repented. It means you have not forgiven them even after God has forgiven them. It means you are still judging them with their past even when God did not judge them. If God was still judging Saul who later became Apostle Paul in the bible, i dont think God would have allowed him to become an Apostle and man of God because he was a murderer. He used to kill Christians before he got converted and gave his life to christ. God did not say; you are not fit to be an Apostle because you were once a murderer. Same applies to these ex-prostitutes. You cannot say they should not wear white gown because they were once prostitutes. Old things are passed away. Do not use their past to judge them. You cannot dictate which gown they should wear as long as the gowns are decent. All those rules and regulations are just church doctrines. They are not scriptural, they are not in the bible. They are man made rules.
