LIB Exclusive: Corpse of young man lynched at Alafia busstop was just removed on Thursday (photos)

On Thursday, LIB visited the crime scene where a young man was beaten and burnt to death by an angry mob on Saturday, November 12, for allegedly stealing phones from a woman at Alafia bustop, Orile and shockingly found out that his corpse was left at the roadside from Saturday when he was lynched, till Thursday morning when an ambulance came to pick up his already stinking corpse.
From what LIB gathered it's normal practice to lynch criminals in the area when they are caught and sometimes it takes as much as two weeks before the corpse of the person is removed from the crime scene as the police in the area don't really care and people have resorted to jungle justice as their own means of survival

    2. I blame the government including the lazy and corrupt police. If the government makes education free at all levels, i dont think that the boy would have been on the streets stealing. At least, make education free for all until secondary school level as it is done in most developed countries. Our politicians have looted all the money that would have been used to make education free and keep such little boys off the streets. I weep for Nigeria!

  5. We better start fighting ourselves less and fighting the government more. Both on the Federal and state level. Their animal instincts on that part of Lagos seem to have kicked in. 'Kill or be Killed' .
Ordinary corpse they can't even remove. Lagos sha.

  6. The state government really need to start doing something about the bus stop. Same with the police.

  8. That is what I have always understood to be the essence of anarchism: the conviction that the burden of proof has to be placed on authority, and that it should be dismantled if that burden cannot be met.

  22. Funny enough, I've seen that man steal or pick pocket countless times around orinle and costain.it's quite sad but jungle justice is only bound to happen when the police system is so deplorable. The police over there don't even show concern when crimes like robbing during traffic or pick pocket or stealing occurs. Truth is there is no security in this country. Everyone is on his/her own.

  23. Theft is never good but the way pple take to Jungle Justice to solve theft is alarming. People are in government looting billions of Dollars n no one is saying anything but the masses who act as a result of the theft by those in government by looking for daily bread are treated like animals while the real thieves walk freely. Hmmmm that of the 7 year old boy that was killed recently. Still baffles me. Have we really lost the sense of brotherliness and compassion. God help us

  24. Africa with it's pollution and open drainage ,every one that lives within 5 miles of this corpse will surely have a taste of any bacteria lifted by FLIES from the decomposition. From Rain-deposited water ,open trash ,foods everything withing 5 miles.I guess Nigerians are used to it. You wonder why average Life-span is 54 in Nigeria and 85 in western hemisphere.
