On Sunday, during a return flight to Rome at the end of a three-day trip to Georgia and Azerbaijan, the Pope talked about a meeting with a French man whose young son wanted to be a girl after reading about it in a textbook in school.
According to the Pope, he still spends time with Transgender people, trying to lead them closer to God.
"This is against nature," he said. "It is one thing when someone has this tendency ... and it is another matter to teach this in school. To change the mentality -- I call this ideological colonization. Today, in schools they are teaching this to children -- to children! -- that everyone can choose their gender," Pope Francis
Sometime in August, the Pope blasted the teaching of gender identity in schools, calling it 'terrible'
Francis DeBernardo, executive director of New Ways Ministry, a Catholic LGBT advocacy group has criticized the Pope, saying people 'discover their identity', they don't 'choose it'
"The pontiff's remarks are further evidence that church officials need desperately to educate themselves about the lives and experiences of LGBT people," said Francis DeBernardo, executive director of New Ways Ministry. Nobody chooses a gender identity. They discover it."

The society has accepted trans and LGBT, it should end there not confusing innocent children that were bore of heterosexual relationships their gender confused ways. This is an attrack on decent well brought up society. It's actually time to fight back. Preachers in the USA can't speak freely anymore on moral issues such as these, without being persecuted. The devil has entrenched deep into our society that you can hardly hear the truth. Let's promote what is right, and Linda, you are being used as a propaganda mechanism. Open your eyes and follow your faith. It's time to call a spade a spade. God cannot be mocked.

He was in the USA not too long ago and refused to say anything about homosexuality because he was afraid of the backlash he would get from the American govt and media. If he who claims to be leader of the church cant defend the Integrity of Christ anywhere, then he is the Anti Christ,period. People still going to Catholic church worldwide should have a rethink about where they are serving Christ. They should ask themselves the question, will Christ be afraid to speak against sin including the sin of homosexuality when in a certain country? Is it just now the pope is seeing what they are doing to our kids? If you cant speak against homosexuality, you have no moral ground to talk of transgender teaching to our children which is as despicable as the sin of homosexuality.
