Photo of two young men allegedly shot dead by Nigerian soldiers during protest in Bokkos, Plateau State

Six people were shot dead by men of the Nigerian Army in Bokkos while protesting the attack on “Danan and Tasha Makarfi” villages by suspected Fulani herdsmen yesterday night.

Unknown assailants had stormed the villages to carry out attacks days after the traditional ruler of Bokkos and his family members were killed by suspected herdsmen. *graphic photo after the cut*
Angry youth, earlier today barricaded all major roads leading to the area in protest against the attack. Soldiers serving with the Special Task Force in Jos opened fire on the protesters, killing six, and leaving many others with varying degree of injuries.

"The protest that was stage today was peaceful. Nobody was molested," writes D'yong Mangut, who shared the photo. "No house was burnt and neither was anybody killed, yet the Army boys choose to send six of them to their untimely grave with undisclosed numbers injured and currently undergoing treatment in the hospital."

    1. Buhari have a plan to kill all the Christians in Nigeria systematically (CAN secretary) the man said this last week, but it is playing out like that, since the fulanis are on killing rampage have you ever seen or heard that the army kill them? But when the fulanis lost their cow the military will wipe the entire village, i hope all the redeemed Christian Church of God members that voted this Devil called Buhari in are seeing all this, may the blood of this innocent souls bring sorrow on the lives of all the people that voted for Buhari Amen.

  13. It is very clear that Fulani herdsmen are untouchable in naija they kill people for no reason government will keep quite and none will be arrest, a protest against there killing will lead to death of innocent people from hoples evill army. So is so clear that Nigeria army duties is to protect life of Fulani's with there evill act. This totally unacceptable Nigeria is a failed country buhari is tooo tribal to be a leader. This is injustice and wickedness to highest other. Buhari and his government are evill next u will hear them saying is to be blaming social media over de Fulani kill and will tell u de picture on de mascara is not in Nigeria. Shame on all people that vote this evill blood sucking demons in power.

  23. People in targeted areas should for Self-Defense Organisations, open Bank Accounts and advertise for donations to equip themselves. With Dambanza and Burantasi incharge of security, you have no hope for help from this government.

  34. We all saw how soldiers who attempted to overthrow the government in Turkey retrained themselves from opening fire on civilians who came out to oppose the coup. These soldiers had all the weapons and means to crush the civilians but they decided not to waist human life. But here in Nigeria the story is different, even civil defence has now joined in killing ppl,as for the police, theirs is on daily basis. For the soldier, I believe it is the Hausa Fulani among them that shot the protesters. The level of impunity of the Hausa Fulani Muslim since their bros ascended to power is very alarming. We have never had it this bad under Yaradua. Perhaps, a fanatic and nepotist is in power who has refused to call his ppl to order or condemn there actions. May God help us...
