Mr 2Kay Releases Ladder Off His Count It All Joy EP

Mr 2Kay is back in the news again! Just days after his groundbreaking concert in Bonny Island, featuring some of Nigeria’s finest acts such as, Banky W, Ice Prince, Cynthia Morgan, Faze and others, the Grafton act has just served a single titled, Ladder.

 

Ladder is a very narrative and relatable song off Mr 2Kay’s new EP titled, Count It All Joy (released on his birthday - February 11, 2016). It is an infectious Highlife tune that talks about the realities of life and the reason never to forget where you are coming from, as well as those that supported you through your journey of life.

Ladder also tells a story like Mr 2Kay’s acoustic hit single, “Who No Like Better Thing.’’ Already, the song, has enjoyed rave reviews from highly respected music and entertainment platforms, 360nobs, HF Magazine Online, Pulse Ng and Olisa tv. 

Mr 2Kay, who is presently the cover face on one of Nigeria’s longest running entertainment magazines, My Streetz, explains that “Ladder” is a sound that he grew up listening to, because of his mom. According to him “I grew up listening to highlife tunes through my mum as a child and Its part of my musical influences.”
