In an interview with Premium times, the Acting General Secretary of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, Lumumba Okugbawa, said PENGASSAN, and the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, will not accept the unilateral restructuring
“We do not accept any unilateral and arbitrary restructuring. The minister cannot restructure NNPC without carrying all stakeholders along. The minister cannot run the industry as a private estate. He must carry all Nigerians along. With such a massive decision-making, a lot of things would be affected, particularly its implication on workers interest. We are unaware of what is happening. It is not fair that the workers are hearing about the restructuring in the media just like every other person. He is just creating unnecessary confusion in the polity. If the minister says he wants to restructure NNPC, has he repealed or amended the NNPC Act of 1977? What happens to the PIB (Petroleum Industry Bill), which has NNPC restructuring as one of its key objectives? Has it been jettisoned, or is there a new PIB? These are fundamental questions that the minister has to answer"he said

Hmmmmm e clear

ReplyDeleteSonia (now Wuraola Otiti) was previously married to former
ReplyDeleteJigawa Governor Saminu Turaki. Her marriage packed up
due to a scandal involving her twin pregnancy because
Turaki was battling impotency at that time.
The marriage packed up after the twins died at birth.
Sonia now Wuraola who was a UNIBEN dropout reportedly
dated former Deputy Senate Majority leader, Abdul Ningi for
a while. Their affair crashed over allegations of infidelity.
Wuraola is still legally married to a Lebanase billionaire
named Eli Khoury.
Eli Khoury was the third man in Wuraola’s life.
Wura who is in her early 30s met Eli and relocated to Dubai
in 2015..
As at mid last year, she still flaunts him on the social media
as her husband. She has since deleted all her social media accounts. Why did the Ooni got entangled with this highly controversial lady?
Why did he change her name from Itohan Sonia Obahan to
Wuraola Zainab Otiti??
Why did he tell his friends Wuraola bears the same name as
his late mother if he has nothing to hide??
Anyway, we wish the King and his new Queen a blissful
marriage.
Exactly!! My tots too
ReplyDeleteThis exhibition of animalistic tendency can only happen in the administration of a leader like Buhari that lacks vision and leadership qualities. We are now in a Banana Republic where leaders will make silly decisions with using their brains.
ReplyDeleteThe workers are stupid. Who are they to be carried along? Are they national assembly? Federal government purposely did not carry them along because of their looting and stealing. If they had carried them along, they would have easily planned another way or strategy to steal. If you dont want to work, get out from there. There are many unemployed graduates roaming the streets looking for work that are ready to work.

ReplyDeleteOne man's government.
ReplyDeleteVery simple solution. Get the army to occupy the place. Sack every single person involved in the protest . Recruit new staff. Unbundle. Start all over.
DeleteMad people. Who are you people? You have guts. Idiots. You want to ruin Nigeria? With funds unaccounted for? Oh! Where is Obj when you need him.
Cos the unbundling won't favor ur corrupt practices right? Namsense!

ReplyDeleteYou should all be sacked and younger people employed. Una own too much. Greed
DeleteThey forget that Ibe Kachikwu is a lawyer. An intelligent one at that.
ReplyDeleteAn you NNPC staff fools, did you consult or give Notice to Nigerians before going on strike? after-all you guys are the ones in charge of fuel and must have a full tank in your car plus enough reserve!
ReplyDeleteWhen will public organisation stop acting senseless and insensitive?
Tell dictator Buhari..that man is rulling d country like his family
ReplyDeleteYou really have no brain or your brain is hidden inside your cuteness below.
DeleteIt is God that will punish or rather just destroy all of you in Nupeng and pengasson. Who employed who? NNPC declare losses year on year, no strike but now strike is your game changer. Pls Kachikwu, post advert for vacancies then we see the bastard who will stop patriotic citizens from applying and resuming work. Enough is Enough

ReplyDeleteHaba! The Minister should carry all stake holders along na or is it difficult?
ReplyDeleteAll Nnpc workers are all bunch of jokers...
ReplyDeleteSoon Nigeria will be unbundled.
ReplyDeleteLol.... Workers interest... Ofcos dats the only reason for the strike..... Future husband I hope you are not working with NNPC OOOOIIOO
ReplyDeleteHey Mr this is the order from the president not from Mr ibe kachikwu so any other re structuring should be made to me personally not going on a unreasonable strike
ReplyDeleteGbam. Pls Tell him. What I know is that when there is going to be major restructuring like this , seminars are held to sensitize all stakeholders e.g workers, oil communities etc of the need to do this and the end objective, goals and gains from doing this. You Assuage workers fears and not just autocratically do it without consulting all stake holders. Kachukwu, you are from Mobil Exxon and you know how things like this are done in civilized coporate establishments. Abeg no fall your hand.
ReplyDeleteReally, this ppl are senseless.what is their buz in d restructuring when no staff was sacked?.nothing he said above affects d wrkers n this is fr our benefit.

ReplyDeletePENGASSAN and NUPENG have become too powerful for comfort, they will go on strike at the slightest excuse and hold the entire nation to ransom, it is high time they too are unbundled like the NNPC.
ReplyDeleteNa una sabi,if unbundling is what Nigerian needs to resolve this fuel scarcity is OK by me.
ReplyDeleteDis pipo re crazy selfish things can't the president use his power to unbundle dis selfish pipo too
ReplyDeleteRestructuring of an economy is always very challenging. More reason why every one should have job alternatives and a solid personal financial plan. No job security any more.

ReplyDeleteIt is well
ReplyDeleteAnything wey dey talk, I dey. I don tire for Naija wahala.Lindangwanu#

ReplyDeleteWe plenty for market dey look for their position
Corporate REORGANIZATION is not the same thing as UNBUNDLING. As a matter fact NNPC gas nit been unbundled. There were DIRECORATES originally and what the new GMD gas done is to restructure those Directorates and call them DIVISIONS. But it is typical of government appointees to just slap every NNPC Employees without thinking of their feelings as human beings. The GMD would never have done this in EXXONMOBIL where he came from without orior wide internal briefings and consultations with staff. He should resign for his incompetence.
ReplyDeleteCountry hard as it is already. Y na

Read, you last sentence again. Do you see it now? Hate has surely driven you mad. Okoro Madueke.
What for petes sake has this man said kwa? So the news came as a surprise, see if it will work first, see where the government is going before deciding to embark on a strike. He is lying o, he and some others would have been aware that something is about to happen, thats why d petrol stations have been hiding the product for weeks, he has seen that some of their holes are about to be blocked, hence the strike. Guy, this strike won't produce any result, so just call it off already n go bk to work, afterall, no one has been sacked so what's d hassle about? The nnpc is owned by d govt n d govt can make any decision pertaining to it, if u dnt like it, u leave, thousands are waiting to tk your place believe me. We want change, well, change has finally come o, new things will be tested, some will fail n some will work, let's just wait n see!
ReplyDeleteManagement alone reserves the incontrovertible rights to restructure or not to restructure any institution and not employed workers,
