Members of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPC have commenced a nationwide strike following yesterday's announcement by the Federal government that the oil corporation will be unbundled into 7 units (Read story
here). The oil workers got to work this morning and could not access their various offices. The immediate impact of the strike will be nationwide fuel scarcity as NUPENG will not be able to lift fuel today.
Hmmm
ReplyDeleteNawa ooo
I think the strike is needed, if not for any other thing, to show the slowpoke, buhari, that he's not an emperor. I have never seen a president that has so little regard for the laws of the land as this current president. He believes that every Nigerian is corrupt except for him and a few of his cohorts. A very stubborn man that listens to no one even though it's apparent that he's clueless as to how to effectively run the country.

ReplyDeleteKaiiiii....im tired of this wahala already
ReplyDeleteAny reasonable person will always think befor action. President Buhary please learn to think befor action and stop acting like a cow. For weeks now we have been facing fuel scarcity and instead of you to solve that problem first befor unbundling then you decided to add more fuel to the already burning fire. This is one chance government and we are watching.
ReplyDeleteIf you have any idea what is going on in there system (the Oil and Gas industry) you will give the government a thumbs up for this decision.
DeleteThere are a lot of persons in the NNPC getting paid for doing nothing and they now want to hold Nigerians hostage. They can go to hell for all I care, if they are not ready to be productive and efficient they should be sacked and thrown out so other persons willing to work can be employed
Olodo... So your are the subject expect on Oil and Gas abi.
Delete"The immediate impact of the strike will be nationwide fuel scarcity" - so what exactly is happening now? ridiculous news reporting
ReplyDeleteAll thanks to our Mr Right president with dead Brain, all those people around You as your special adviser did not advise you to solve the problem of fuel scarcity before unbundling the Unit.
ReplyDeleteA lot of restructuring needs to be done but at what cost and whose detriment. That's the big question to answer.
ReplyDeleteHa! GOD,what kind of problem is this?

ReplyDeleteCorruption is fighting back. This strike is organized by the corrupt elements in the erstwhile NNPC to blackmail the government but it can't work. There is no going back on the war against corruption. Government should kick them out if they refuse to go back to war. There are millions of qualified graduates looking for employment.
ReplyDeleteGod will help us.
ReplyDeleteGOD WILL HELP THEM ALL.LINDA SEE TO THAT CASE
