Man claims he took his sick child to LUTH and was told to come back for test 3 weeks later as test machine was faulty
According to Felix Adebayo on twitter, he took
his sick child to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, and was
told to come back three weeks after as the machine to do the test his child needed was bad. Continue to see his tweets...
Hmm! This is a serious case. I remember waiting in line for hours at LUTH as a kid when I broke my arm all those years ago. LUTH really needs an upgrade...Government really needs to spend money in this sector right now.
He should best know that LUTH belongs to the Fed govt and not Lagos State govt, his complain should be channeled to the Fed govt or better yet the Fed Min of Health, may God save his child, and save Nigeria
Before preventing people from travelling abroad for treatments, the president should first fix our local hospitals. It's their money they are carrying abroad for treatment not his.
There is noting that i will hear about Nigeria especially terrorist buharis scam government i will diout it is true that is why the big ones and politicians don't go to Nigeria hospital the same hospital they build because they will lose there life.
It's quite sad,God save his child. But he should best channel his complaints to the Fed govt or Ministry of Health not the Lagos State govt as LUTH belongs to Fed govt not Lagos state
you can say again, hospital in naija is apology. someone called this morning during a radio programme complaining about the odour oozing out from national hospital Abuja the federal capital. if Abuja and lagos hospitals are like this, you can imagin the primary health care centres in the Local govt areas. the govt should declare state of emergency for the health sector. it is unfortunate. how can you tell a sick child to go and wait for three weeks just for test. it is ridiculous.
You're right bro..... Why will pple not travel abroad when in Nigeria our government don't care about our health? I wil work very hard and pray so that I can give birth to all my children abroad, where proper medical attention wil be given. Yeye pple!
This is very likely true. My friend is a doctor @ LUTH and she always has all sorts to say. Like how there is never water to even wash hands, to delayed salaries. A friend wanted to have a test done for hepatitis for the past three weeks and they have kept telling her to come back. This country is in a serious crisis!!!
It could be bad truly because most of their machines have always been bad...lol...but they ll refer you to another laboratory outside the premises most times clina-lancet...talking from experience!
I'm not surprised. Nigerian hospitals have killed more people than they have treated well. Imagine the effrontery! you see a sick child and say come back in 3weeks...them wan kill d pikin be dat o. I hope the father took his child to another hospital. God save Nigeria and help the masses. No adequate health sector, no stable employment, bad roads, epileptic electricity...the list is endless.. Which way, Nigeria!!!
Yup, same thing happened to me, went there see a respiratory doctor sometime in September 2015 and I was told I could not see a doctor till November. However, the guy said he could work something out for me if I blessed him, Well let's just say I was scheduled to see a doctor the following Monday.
Hmmmm, yesterday my brother was placed on admission and he is to be operated on tomorrow and by the time we got to d ward we were told there's no bedspread and pillow...my dad was like they should go to d laundry and get but by the time the nurse came back like after 1hr 30mins we were told he couldn't find any.i was angry and my dad told dem we will be going home and they will admit him some other time that he was gonna call his doctor (DR DACOSTA)and dey started begging and insisted that we can't take him home cos the doctor in charge of his case will be very angry. My mum had to go back home and get all d things the hospital was suppose to provide...we left there 8:45pm last night and the ward is WARD E6!!! I was thinking of sending Linda a mail about it but I just ex it and now that I'm seeing this ,I decided to share my own story too!

If it's to steal the money and put in their pockets Nigerian politicians will be quick about that! but to provide necessary amenities never, God deliver the common
Laughin...Smilin......smilin......vry funny! Datz y I Cant use govt hospitalz coz 80% of death rate occur as a result of total carelessness. Ms Linda, dis tym around take note! Smilin.....buh seriously!
Just imagine nothing is working in this country, fuel, electricity, roads, hospitals, very bad and dis leaders travel everyday they see how things work out there all over the world yet they keep deceiving dem selves, bad nonsense
Its a pity! I rememember a similar situation when LUTH postponed my plastic surgery for one whole year. It was one good Samaritan Doctor that assisted me with that surgery outside LUTH eventually.

Come to the Ibom hospital in Itam Uyo. Akwa Ibom. No faulty machines and no stories. Don't play with your child's life.
It's the usual thing with government hospitals, but we are praying for a miracle
Haba, just three weeks?! That's so quick. You must be a record breaker.
All this happening under APc
