FRSC rules overspeeding as cause of accident that killed Ocholi

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Boboye Oyeyemi say investigations carried out by the agency suggest overspeeding as the main cause of the accident that killed former Minister of state for Labor and Employment, James Ocholi, his wife and son on March 6th.
Oyeyemi stated this while presenting the accident’s Road Traffic Crash Investigation Interim Report to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided by President Buhari today March 9th.

He said investigations by the agency also showed that the driver of Ocholi's SUV had no driver's license and that the impact of the accident was more on Ocholi and his family members who were seated at the rear seats because they were not using seat belts

    1. Does Nigeria have the right apparatus to determine causes of road mishaps or is FRSC reading an already written script?

    2. How did they know it was overspeeding? FRSC with their assumptions. On the other hand, how is it that a minister's driver does not have a valid license? The seatbelt part is relatable, rich people don't like to use seat belts. It is well.

  17. Nigerian leaders and politicians will always fall victims of their lack of wisdom.

FRSC should know they have install speed cameras and enforce speed limits on Nigerian road.

  20. Mitchewwww story for the gods FRSC are stupid to come up with this scarp,so who now employed the driver without license because the people involved are VIPs thats why, while over 500 people where murdered in Agatu by Fulani herdmen till today what and what have the Federal Government done about that cause they are not vips or they don't matter in this country this show that the life of common man dose not matter in this country, when Isis attacked Paris they did not rest till they killed the Culprits even went to attack them in there own base, those Fulani herdmen are more dangerous than Boko Haram am not been sentiment here just that we need to tell ourselves truth in this Country May the soul of Ocholi's rest in peace Amen..

  21. Hmmmmm Keyamo over! Sebi you want to sue SON for allowing the car tyre to come into Nigeria? You will always rush to social media without having the full picture. That was same thing you did when the Ese case broke. You went on social media with your Romeo Juliet nonsense. This kin lawyer sef. That's why you keep losing your cases. Slow down, get your facts before you say anything especially on social media.

  25. Those convoys can drive so carelessly and recklessly and that is how they end up putting the lives of their bosses in such a big mess. They shd be cautioned to drive professionally and with all mental alertness

  26. In Nigeria, when has drivers license correlated to one's driving skills..for 10k one can easily get a drivers' license. The driver not having a license does not apply here...For license to be a measure of driving experience, FRSC has to be more restrictive to issuing license.

  27. Getting a drivers license in Nigeria is not tasking. Even a blind man can get it so what difference does it make anyways. So many of us have been driving for ages without a license.
