Former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh regained his freedom last night after meeting his bail conditions. Badeh who is standing trial for the misappropriation of N1.1 billion meant for the Nigeria Airforce, was granted N2 billion bail and two sureties in the sum of N1bn each, by a Federal High Court on March 10th. ReplyDeleteMy fellow Nigerians please help me understand this. If someone was asked to free himself with 2 billion Niara and he meets the bail conditions easily, does it not mean he may still have at least 10 or maybe even 15 Billion naira stashed up in some vault somewhere? And look at how free like a bird he is now while people who stole fowl or 500 naira due to hunger are languishing in jails across the country! I WEEP BLOOD FOR MY COUNTRY!
