Photos: Toyin Saraki visits her childhood school. "You can achieve whatever you set your sights on" she tells students

Wife of the Senate President and founder of the Wellbeing Foundation Africa, Mrs. Toyin Saraki was at her childhood school, Holy Child College (HCC) Ikoyi as the chief launcher of ‘Action, Not Words,’ a special publication on the history, accomplishments and achievements of (HCC) in Commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the school.
Mrs Saraki encouraged students of HCC to take advantage of the opportunity/privilege of education as it is a crucial tool to building a future free from discrimination and poverty. Emphasizing on the benefits of educating the girl child, she stated:
"It gives me great pleasure to be participating in this Back to School initiative of my alma mater, and to share with current students of Holy Child College that they can achieve whatever they set their sights at."
Sharing her experience, Mrs Saraki encouraged the girls at the HCC to work hard, while aiming to take up roles/positions that are currently being dominated by the male gender, especially in leadership, governance and innovation. She also emphasized that education will play a crucial role in eliminating social vices against women and girls such gender-based violence; female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C); and forced, early and child marriages (FECMs).

I wonder what she is going to talk to them about? how to be a senate presidents wife? I don't get it.

Unknown said...

No wonder she's so decent. I like.

What exactly did she achieve besides getting married to the Senate President, who is also an ex-governor and a potential convict. She hasn't done anything in her own personal capacity to serve as a role model to the kids.

Rubbish! I hope you didn't forget to include "with the help of a criminal spouse"?

What baffles me about this country is how our voices are so loud to criticize other common citizens and celebrities but become to dumb or quiet when it has to do with these politicians and their relatives.

Madam, fck off with ur advice.. Ur husband has several cases to answer in Court

Too bad. The student will feel its ok to plunder the public purse when you are entrusted with a public office.

People that have moral baggages shouldn't be allowed to be in the spotlight of the common good. It is distasteful, morally degrading, spiteful, and antithetical to the fight against corruption.

Ak100 says so

Abeg help me ask...wat did she achieve, wats her advice...she married a senator..its her husband who made her...

When Mrs Saraki married her husband was he the senate president? This lady has achieved far more than the average political wife, an academically minded woman, she wrote the health records used in many Nigerian hospitals, her medical research was published in the Lancet. She has canvassed for health sector improvements for decades, consistently. I respect her. Plus, to be this trim at 50 plus must take self discipline. Toyin Saraki is consistent and real, (and still married). And you? What have you achieved?

Her husband made her? Ojora's daughter? Lol! Don't go and marry, don't let your husband make you. Be tapping wretchedness n ratchedness

I hope she did not ask them to marry a thief like Busola or Bukola ,who always find a way to padd the budget and all the banks DAD and SON padded up.
