So who was the search warrant handed over to???
These guys are looking for every means possible to rope Jona in.
Even if Jona is finally roped in, no past Nigerian president is innocent of corrupt practices.

There is need to let EFCC know that due process must be followed within the confines of the law. One hopes there was a search warrant and proper notices given. Government cannot work with impunity and expect to enjoy the support of the people.

I hope the northerners will not complain someday if a sitting president from the south decides to do same to one of their rulers? Maybe sanusi self... Small time, buhari puppets will come on here and start looking for all manner of reasons in their small head to justify dss's action. Sha know say, if una wey government create to make sure the citizens dey obey the law come dey break am for broad daylight like this for all our front, hope una no go mind if me break my own join? Cos like this from oga to all him omoshe don completely disregard the rule of law...

Anonymous said...

Thanks for democracy.
At least we have the freedom to publish what the agents of government are doing. Ultimately they will learn to conduct themselves in a more lawful and disciplined manner. We the public detest broken doors just as much as we detest broken bones. The law must be seen yo be followed by all.

What's really happening? What right do the DSS have to do this? This is becoming too much. Nigeria sorry.

I see some criminality in this act. What they stated here is their own business. Since the man is not at home he can claim any amount he likes, and they must pay him. Bullshit, what is the difference between this act and a burglar? To me it's breaking and entery.

Okowright Balaxy said...

DSS now operate like criminals! Why will they steal from the man, is it that anyone that has money stole public funds? The annoying thing is that the DSS are blind to go after the kinds of corruption in APC. I just hope Buhari is strong enough to dance to the music of the spirits!

With a search warrant the owner of the house must not be around. Take a case of a suspected terrorist, do you wait to invite him or search is house.

Anonymous said...

Important documents needed so no need for the warrant. We are moving forward in this country...nuel

Unknown said...

You can't do that in the state, buhari is changing this country to a lawless one, y raid a man's house nd destroy certain valuables when he is not around. Please he d hold face better things like employment

This is one of the reasons why DSS and other security agents hardly secure conviction at the court. The way you obtain evidence is very important. You cannot force your way into a man's house in his absence, cart way materials and want to use it as exhibit. In a democracy, you can be civil and still score your point. Just an advice shaa.

Nigerians are idly watching while their country is being turned into a gestapo camp where no person's privacy is respected all in the name of fighting corruption. People's houses, mostly south-easterners and south-southerners, are broken into with wanton rascality and their private properties destroyed or confiscated for no reason whatsoever except that they are from a certain part of the country. Is that democracy?

Like seriously can they do same to a monarch in the north? Any right thinking person should condemn this act...you have insulted and done everything possible to bring down a man even after he handed power to you peacefully, yet he didn't say any anything...Do not misconstrue the silence of a man for weakness. Buhari your cup will soon be full

Kind of strange, searching ones property in his absence. Then what's search warrant created for?

Anonymous said...

My Questions here are 1.Why the destruction of property while the Monarch can open all his home to them for searching? 2.The Man in question is a Monarch From South South abi,Can Buhari /Dss do this to the Sultan Of Sokoto Or Emire Of Kano (Sanusi) From the North.Lets Play Wise And Safe.

rednaxela said...

I doubt if they had A Search Warrant duly signed by a Judge before embarking on this exercise. Because if they had one, they won't be any need to spoil doors or saves to get whatever they were looking for.
Corruption that is fought by breaking the law is counterproductive. State police era.

Anonymous said...

Isn't this wrong? Don't they need a warrant first? We are gradually getting to the point where Nigerians will be flogged with koboko at any slightest provocation.

Unknown said...

.....in a democratic dispensation oh . You are fighting your enemies you say you are fighting corruption.

Unknown said...

Enough of dis madness

For their mind so later they can come and tell us they saw some document involving GEJ ND expect us to believe.

So confused about this administration, are we still in democracy? How can dss just broke in someone house in his absence and cart away with his document? Is that a new strategy of bringing in the so called change? Oh no that's not fair at all cos if they continue with this, am afraid Apc may end up shooting themselves in the leg. We shouldn't take law by our hand. Nigeria Wil not be a failed country.
