At the hearing of the case filed before the court by Senator Saraki, the presiding judge, Justice Ahmed Mohammed summoned the Federal Ministry of Justice, Chairman of the CCB and Chairman of the Code of Conduct tribunal, CCT, to appear before the high court on Monday September 21 to show cause why Saraki should be prosecuted over the alleged offence.
Also summoned by the court is Mr. M.S. Hassan, the deputy director in the office of the Attorney General of the Federation who signed the charge against Saraki.

Okay.
ReplyDeleteI just don't understand why courts can stop people from prosecuting people. E ti yawere in this country. A won oloriburuku. This man na thief, make court prosecute am, na still same court go say make dem no prosecute am. Smh
DeleteWhy does this suddenly make this man look so guilty? He should be struggling to clear his name and not to get a court injunction to stop his probe.

ReplyDeleteThey should stop witch hunting this guy. TINUBU!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHe should just come with his clean hands abeg. This ain't witch hunting if he's guilty.
DeleteWhy not go to court and clear his name, if he feels the allegations levelled against him are baseless and unfounded.
ReplyDeleteWhy is he asking the court to stop his prosecution.
~BONARIO~says so via NOKIA LUMIA
My thots exactly.
DeleteHe needs to be arrested for failure to show up in court.
DeleteAll I see and read here are Muslim names. Tell me why there won't be serious sentiments in this issue. This religiuos bigots are slowing sabotaging our country. President Bokoharam Buhari and his jihadist brothers alike are all wolves in wolves clothing. Everyone needs to wake up!...
ReplyDeleteBut if they had no proof, why want to arraigned him in the first place. I feel like his own case is a dat of witch hunting by his party leaders who never wanted him as d president of senate

ReplyDeletePowers at work again.. .
ReplyDeleteNawa ooh!!!!! Only in nigeria
ReplyDeleteWhy will a federal high court silting in Abuja stop Bureau to investigating Saraki? This is a shame to federal high court to stop Bureau to investigate Saraki, becos nobody is above the law of the land. PMB should intervene on this matter. but I and many Nigerians are still waiting to see the day court will sentence him to jail. Becos Saraki is a corrupt man.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Tinubu?
DeleteGuys, please go to twitter and tweet with hash tag saraki must go to court. Let us force this guy to court. This is pure impunity. Imagine!!!! Please, tell ur friends to tweet.. pls, save this country..tweet to Gmb and osibanjo. Help guys!!!by the time we start trending, they will dance to our tune.
ReplyDeleteOYO - You are on your own...you're dancing to Tinubu's tune... we're not part of it. Whatever goes on, God is in control and will do his will. We pray and watch and not allow anyone to use us as his puppets to do his underground selfish bidding. There is God!
DeleteYoure senseless...Cant you see that its cos TINUBU never wanted him there.
DeleteHehehe. I am enjoying this. See how their past is now threatening to bite them in the *ss. Saraki is a typical example of what is wrong with our politics and politicians.
ReplyDeleteI for see this man go back to..P D P..

ReplyDeleteWitch hunting at its best!!!
ReplyDeleteSaraki is being summoned but nobody has summoned Fashola over the glaring misappropriation of funds that was done within his tenure
ReplyDeleteWhat about Tinunu?
DeleteDemocracy is beautiful!!! Tinubu and his goons can't hVe it their way all the time
ReplyDeleteExactly!
DeleteWhy are they disturbing this man for goodness sake?
ReplyDeleteSo it is now that they know he declared falsely? Even the CCB are grossly incompetent. They are being used as a tool
ReplyDeleteMy thought... Exactly!
DeleteBokohari won't allow Saraki to have peace. Welcome to dictatorship regime
ReplyDeleteAPC should rest na! Why are they still after this man?
ReplyDeleteSaraki is obviously being hounded by his people in APC who are displeased with how he became senate president. unless you haven't been reading the papers or following the news, you will know that.
ReplyDeleteBut wait oo, the court wants oo, the courts wants CCB to "show cause why Saraki should be prosecuted over the alleged offence". Well, it's an offense to falsely declare your asset. We are so ridiculous in this country. Someone commits an offense and you want to see 'cause' why he is being prosecuted??? chai!!
Anyways, this will mean Saraki and PMB will lock horns, and it's good for democracy.
this is wrong. no restraining order was given by the court. you can't assume what was not said by the court. CCB was asked to come on Monday to explain why the prayers by Saraki shld not be granted. that doesn't stand as a restraining order!
ReplyDeletePower play...it has got witch hunting written all over it
ReplyDeleteTinubu and APC including Buhari are trying to hunt Saraki because they didn't want him to be Sanate President. So what ever he does will be wrong in their eyes. Mr Change ... This is the Change
ReplyDeleteWhat is that suppose to mean? Nobody shd be above da law, not even those making d law, he shd appear and answer, e don tey wey dem dey mk law 4 only d poor, now everyone must adjust, the day of reckon-ing is here.
