Ex adviser to GEJ on amnesty matters, Kingsley Kuku shares pics of him in a US hospital

Former adviser to former president Jonathan on Amnesty programme, Kingley Kuku today released photos of himself at the St. Andrew Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama where he is recuperating after a knee surgery. Kuku was to appear before EFCC on July 28th to answer questions bordering on misappropriation of funds but had immediately written a letter to the agency saying he will not be honoring their invitation because he is currently at a US hospital.

In a statement released accompanying the photos, Kuku said he had nothing to fear and was not on the run. He says he operates no foreign account and does not have any house apart from the one in Nigeria. The statement in part
“Today, Amnesty project has trained pilots as we have sent our students to the best aviation school in the world. We have about 100 students in Lufthansa training school in Germany. In addition, we have about 550 students in the United States, more than 300 in Europe and more than 1000 in Nigeria. I therefore, urge the new coordinator to take human audit and balance it with what was allocated to the agency in order to draw a line between those frivolous and malicious petition been sent around. I am a patriotic Nigerian; I have future and image to protect. Therefore, my integrity is more important to me than vanity of this world. The total liberation of my people of Niger Delta from poverty, unemployment, backwardness and illiteracy motivated me to design a program that will empower our youth. ‎ I have no regret serving Nigeria under former president Goodluck Jonathan. As human being, we must have made some mistakes in course of discharging our duty‎. I have no foreign bank account, I have no house anywhere apart from Nigeria and I have since returned all government properties in my possession, including my diplomatic passport before leaving office.”he said

    1. Your comment is so funny and rudiculous can't you see vividly that he is standing by a corner so you just have the mentality that hospitals have equipments everywhere in a room and it doesn't matter what kind of ward or what he is recovering from it should look like ICU. Lol

  20. We have heard u. This is 2015 and you can't deceive people anymore. Where did you see the money to build the all concrete white house you built in Alagbaka in Akure? What was there before was a 2 flat bungalow you built when in ODSHA but no sooner GEJ appointed you, you pulled the building down and erected an all concrete mansion. Is it your monthly salary you used or what? PMB will soon get u. Ole buruku

  28. All of them are developing one form of illness or the other. Once they are wanted for questioning, the spirit of sickness prevails in their lives. Meanwhile they did not develop any when they were in power and feeling larger than life itself. First Diezani, now him. Don't worry una go well come back answer una queries.

  33. Nigerians are so pathetic. So hell bent on the past they are forgetting to plan the future. They call govt officials thieves meanwhile corruption begins with even the guy that opens the gate. All I see is envy and bitterness. A lot of people who complain here will do worse in certain conditions. Let the man get well and let him come home and answer questions. If found guilty he should be punished. Until then, haters get a life.

  34. Emergency sickness. You sure went out of your way to prove it. What did you do call 911, requested for an ambulance and had one of your benefactors take a photo of you as proof that you are really sick? Recover quickly and come back and answer queries... you sure

  40. Why not a hospital in Bayelsa? Anyone wishing him speedy recovery should have his/her head examined. How much is the cost of the surgery since he has no health insurance coverage? He deserves to come back dead.

You are now sick, No problem their is God ooo, when you people were sharing Nigeria money with Jonathan, you no sick, But now fear of EFCC dey make una sick, you will recover soon and come back to dance to the drum, or else you just commit suicide over there, Gbam. 52. So sad they have to resort to farces to avoid being probed. It is quite obvious they are scarred, something they should have felt when in charge of agencies, ministries and parastatals. They will surely account.

  59. Why are majority of Nigerians on this thread so darft and empty headed in analysing issues? To the extent that common sense is not common here.. how can anyone think that people couldn't have had health or any other issues for that matter before and even after Buhari's assumption of power, or even before EFCC's invitation. A man had knee issues way before now; and even had plans to go for surgery immediately after he leaves the Presidential Amnesty Office, and all some clueless people could say is that he's avoiding probe by going for an appointment scheduled before the EFCC'S invitation; is this what you call an avoidance of probe? Mind you; what the EFCC has sent to this man is an invite, and not an indictment okay! Wish you speedy recovery as I would wish any sick person. Peace to Nigeria and Nigerians. Don P..

    ReplyDelete
  60. Why are we over blowing an ordinary invite by EFCC to this young man? This is a man who has given his best to lay a legacy for the Niger Delta Youths, a feat his predecessor in a near similar capacity could not achieve. Methink we shd applaud his rare sense of wisdom and nt try to vilify him. Let us remember that in law, an accused is deemed innocent until proved guilty by a competent court of law.lets give him that benefit of doubt sesei.

  61. Just how did the US come up with an Ambulance to wheel a man who left Nigeria on his two legs??? I saw this man with my two eyes walking in Nigerian airport prior to departure. Mxm!!
