"On my phone alone, I get 20 SMS on a daily basis. In the next five years, if there is no stringent policy on the siting of religious houses, there will be problem. With the enforcement today, we would have sealed about 55 premises because the last enforcement we carried out, we shut 33 premises. I gave approval for closure of 22 premises today, making 55"Neighbours of one church, Jesus Our Lord Divine Catholic Prayer Ministry, said they were constantly disturbed by a congregation of mainly pregnant women, young mothers and their children. Shabi said the churches would be allowed to reopen after paying fines starting from N50,000.

What a muslim governor didnt do to body of christ aChristian is doing
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile help me wish ma bro , Engr. Eronmhon ogobor happy bday

Is it not a shameful thing to hear the LASEPA boss say that "the churches will reopen after paying fines starting from #50000?" What then becomes of the complaints of the neighbors of these churches? Or was it those complaints that opened the eyes of the Agency to see the areas where money can be made for the government? So pathetic.
DeleteThey should actually make a law that all place of worship "Christian or moslem" should be entirely sound proof.
ReplyDelete#LionAmbition

DeleteI think they have to shut down this "Off the Light & see Jesus Ministry" that's the centre of noise pollution down here.Worshipping God isn't madness.whatever happened to the portion of the bible that said "...and when you pray,do not pray like the hypocrites do"?
ReplyDeleteThis is a good one. It's so annoying when you're compulsorily forced to stay awake after a tiresome day's job because of their noise.
ReplyDelete#CHANGE. But they should clamp down on all shops that disturb the peace with loud music! That is a change I want to see.
ReplyDeleteWhat about mosques...so is only churches that are making noisy worship in lagos...y not tell dem to reduce d level of d noise *my own opinion*

ReplyDeleteBenin city own na worst past, all dis church situated near residence area Wil just put dere speakers outside d church, disturbing pple's peace, nt like M speaking negative abt a church, it's suppose to b a place of worship, bt it's better if d speakers r inside d church.

ReplyDeleteWelldone Sir. Dis is a good development.God is not a noisy God pple shld stop all dis shouting with microphone cos God is not deaf. Meanwhile holyness is very scare in dis country.

ReplyDeleteThe former Aviation Minister Mrs.Stella Oduah was accused of buying two BMW bullet-proof cars at $1.6 million about N280 Million, while former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola bought the same bullet-proof cars at N650 Million, let Fashola tell the Nigerians and the whole world how is own is higher.
ReplyDeleteThe day another political party will take over Lagos State that whole world will see the canker-worm,evils and atrocities that APC as a party has committed in Lagos with the assistance of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Only God will save us from all these evil political leaders.

If Buhari is serious about fighting corruption, the first will be for him to remove all oil blocks from any individual.Nigeria is the only country where thieves are allocated the country’s natural resources in the name of oil blocks. If anything like oil block must exist, then this should be given to the states so each state will use the proceeds to develop that particular state. This will ensure that the dividends are enjoyed by all Nigerians.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that they mount there speakers out making to cause noise everywhere, if there speakers cld be controlled I tink d noise will lesser... Meanwhile collecting money for fine and reopening will do more harm dan good... Why don't they tell them to re position there speakers
ReplyDeleteWould they pay those fines?
ReplyDeleteGood and Perfect move
ReplyDeleteShame on the idiot called Shabi!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe biggest noise-makers are the mosques!!
But can't find that the FOOL went after any mosque!!!!
And Christians are always laid back!!!
In fact watch out for the idiots among them playing defenders and "justifiers" of this assault on the Church!!!
And soon they would live to pay dearly for watching idly by!
If Shabi is an Idiot, so-called Christians are bastards for doing nothing!
Ok na
ReplyDeleteAnd the mosques don't make noise? Oriegwu.
ReplyDeleteLinda do we have such agency in Edo State? The noise over here is killing
ReplyDeletePlease furnish me with the phone number biko kwa. The Cele behind me, Redeemed on my left and MFM on my right needs to be relocated.
ReplyDeleteIt beats my imagination how these non reasoning christains will prefer to organise noisy programs on Thursday and wednesday nights when we should be having a peaceful night rest after a long day. Is it not common sense to fix these programs when everybody has gone to work?

ReplyDeletePs: How do I report the noisy churches in my neighborhood?
Dey should just leave dem alone, and tell dem not to make noise again
ReplyDeletePraise God the order is coming from a Christian governor. I was imagining if it was Buhari that gave the order. It will be tug of war. Many people see things from the religious or tribal angle instead of facing the reality.
ReplyDeleteLwkmd choi seriously....
ReplyDeleteall dis Penticostal churches putting speaker outside hmmm
Hahahaha seriously.
ReplyDeleteAm not surprised.. hope they shut down all thos mosques that wake some1 up as early as 4am everyday...

ReplyDeleteThere Is God! He Is Watching You All! http://www.bummyla.com
ReplyDeleteAbout time... Nothing is more disorienting than a bunch of people deliberately inconveniencing everyone around with music and 'prayer' so loud even heaven may want non of it. When the holy book says "God is not a God of confusion" it makes no exemptions and brooks no excuses: not loud singing, violent 'in-spirit' demands or unnecessarily rowdy prayer.
ReplyDeletePeople should be more civil and not make a mockery of worship to God by making noise in the name of worship.
ReplyDeleteIts in spirit and in truth.
Please how can one report. There's one church near me that needs to close down.
ReplyDeleteLool.... Was about saying wEll done job, d nxt was 50k to reopen.... Biznes tiNs. L£GAC¥
ReplyDeleteI hope they will not turn it into money making business and be closing down churches indiscriminately!!!
ReplyDeleteHi linda, can I get the contact for complaints on a noisy church on my street. Could it be published as i am a frequent reader. Thanks

ReplyDeleteAmbode, give ur life to Christ! Wen Muslims are blocking rd doing their Sallah u no go talk. Because ppl r in church worshipping God for just 2-3 hours u r shutting dem down only to demand 50k fines? Daiz God! Lagosians, behold ur gov!
