Photos from the accident at Delabo Junction close to Ilishan

The accident happened this evening on the Shagamu-Benin express road at Delabo Junction. A tanker carrying diesel and coming from Shagamu lost control, crossed the road to the other side & a Nissan pathfinder SUV ran into it. People risked their lives by scooping diesel from the tanker. More photos after the cut...

I think the more important thing is if the driver of the pathfinder survived. The people scooping diesel know the risks, they are the masters of their own destiny.

Anyone who is familiar with this junction knows it is a death trap. Me sincerely thinks something should be done to reduce the possibility of such fatal accidents on that axis.
