Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike says if President Buhari was really serious about his fight against corruption, he must start by probing the administration of former Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi. The governor gave the charge in a statement released and signed by his special adviser on media and publicity Opunabo Inko-Tariah today July 26th. The governor added that an appointment of Rotimi Amaechi by Buhari will be an endorsement of corruption ..
“If Buhari is sincere in his fight against corruption, let him probe the Amaechi’s government and he will discover that there cannot be a government official that is more corrupt than Amaechi. From the genesis to revelation of his government, Amaechi’s fiscal recklessness and dictatorial policies and approaches are responsible for the financial woes of the state that should ordinarily be buoyant. A man like Amaechi must not be allowed to flaunt the fruits of his crime with impunity. He has to account for the monthly allocations he received in 8 years and the IGRs for the same period. He spirited so much out of the system with little or nothing to show for it.
The appointment of Amaechi by Buhari will be an endorsement of corruption by Buhari. If there are no skeletons in his cupboard, why try to frustrate the Hon Justice Omereji’s commission of inquiry? This obviates the need for further evidence that his hands are dirty. After all, he started and ended his reign with the late Justice Kayode Esho’s panel and the Prof Odinkalu’s commission of inquiry respectively -not to talk of that headed by Justice B A Georgewill. Do unto others, what you want others to do unto you’, our Lord Jesus admonished my brother Knight, Amaechi.
The attempt to stop the Hon Justice Omereji’s Commission of Inquiry from investigating his government is not only risible but shameful and highly provocative. It is ironical that the same man who sealed the judiciary for close to two years and turned lawyers into taxi drivers and artisans will now have the gumption to approach the same courts he desecrated for justice. If his successor had followed his footsteps, which court would he have approached to seek redress? How will he appear before those he almost turned into beggars? As a result of his callous and insensitive actions, most lawyers had broken homes as they could not sustain their families. Some even lost their loved ones in hospitals for lack of money to buy needed drugs.”.

PORT HARCOURT— Rivers State may explode in 2015 if an upland person (Nyesom Wike) was elected to replace Governor Chibuike Amaechi, a chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, Sir Opunabo Inko-Tariah, said in Port Harcourt, yesterday.
He said that natural justice demands that a riverine man be elected to replace Governor Amaechi, who is also from the same upland area as former governor, Peter Odili.
According to him, the upland area of the state would have been governor for 16 consecutive years by the time Governor Amaechi completes his tenure next year.
He explained that the politics of the state had naturally been divided along riverine and upland lines, adding that it was the reason the riverine area conceded power to Odili in 1999, when they had a firm grip on the political structure in the state.
He said: “Dr. Odili was elected governor in 1999. He is from the upland area. In 2007 Rotimi Amaechi was elected governor.
“At the end of his tenure, the upland area would have been governor for 16 years. There is natural dichotomy in Rivers State between upland and riverine. God made it so.”

How can a man chronically bereft of morals attempt to advise the president about who to appoint and who not to appoint? Wike stole from Obio/Akpor, he struck a deal with Timothy Nsirim to be paid 50 million naira every month. Wike made it compulsory for contractors to pay him 20 million out of every hundred million naira contrac. Wike as a chief of staff forced all special advisers to release a hilux to him. Wike made hundreds of Rivers youths to swear an oath that they will never betray him before he empowered them. Wike recruited all the renowned criminals and gangsters in port Harcourt to attack and kill his political opponents in Rivers state. Today rivers state has become a shadow of itself, robbery, kidnapping, drug trafficking etc are on the increase because Wike opened the door for criminality in Rivers state.
Wike got so excited about the free money he was getting as a chief of staff. He wondered how much he would control if he becomes the governor. So, he resolved in his dark heart to pursue governorship. Amaechi who already has gotten tired of his overbearing attitudes told him point blank that he wasn't going to be governor because Ikwerre cannot succeed Ikwerre. Amaechi stated it clearly to him and to Rivers people that it would amount to injustice if Ikwerre takes over from Ikwerre. This position of the Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi infuriated Wike, so he resolved to go against the man who gave him relevance. Amaechi appointed him a minister and practically gave him a room to work against him (Amaechi). Nyesom Wike saw an opportunity to align with Patience Jonathan who also feels that she has been denied of some benefits as a Rivers woman due to the policy of Amaechi which was "USE RIVERS MONEY FOR RIVERS PEOPLE". Amaechi quashed the share the money syndrome and this didn't go down well with many people. All of them assembled and resolved to remove and ridicule Amaechi by all means. Did they succeed? No. Why didn't they succeed? Because Amaechi is favored by God.
Wike has refused to focus on governing rivers state but has continued to chase shadows. His fears are gradually making him mad. He has made several attempts to bribe the Chief justice of the federation, he has attempted to bribe the electoral tribunal, he mistook those men for Ghesila Khan whom he bribed with 2 billion naira. Just recently, the Nigeria anti graft agency and the DSS discovered 700 million in her account. Nyesom Exenwo Wike is an epitome of immorality. He lacks the moral standing to advise anyone let alone the president. Why hasn't Nyeso brought out evidence of corruption against Amaechi? He has nothing to show for his allegation. He should stop calivanting and focus on his duties.
