Pics: Roads leading to Ekiti state blocked ahead of rumored sitting by APC lawmakers to impeach Fayose

All roads leading into Ekiti state have been blocked this morning by those loyal to Governor Fayose following strong rumours that the APC members of the state House of Assembly were planning to hold a sitting this morning to begin impeachment proceedings against Fayose.

Many loyalists also took over the roads leading to the state Assembly complex with police men and DSS keeping watch.  More photos after the cut...

    2. This isn't the ekiti people, this actions are the governor himself dragging himself in mud with his thugs and belittling both himself and his office. Enough already! He can't block the road forever and if not now after the elections must of his supporters will defect even if the pdp wins. It then the courts can take over. So as always he is not thinking clearly.

  36. Fayose deserves every thing coming his way and even worse. People of Ekiti voted/allowed a criminal to rig himself into power and see as the state is in turmoil. A governor who said 7 pdp lawmakers is greater than 19 Apc lawmakers and backed them up to impeach a speaker. where does that happen? EKITI PEOPLE BE WISE

  48. Every citizen should have freedom of movement. Blocking the road is an infringement to this fundamental human right, and for the police and DSS watching this happen implies the support of impunity. The police were swift to teargas women marching in protest of election irregularities in River state, but here they are condoning road blockage in support of impunity. I believe the incoming FG should purge the law enforcement agencies of the partisan elements within its ranks.

  49. 'Impeach' Linda not 'imeach', I know it's a typographical error though but still needed to call your attention to it,you're a professional blogger so certain mistakes are inexcusable. Btw I still don't understand why APC are so desperate to impeach Fayose. ...Fayose Chose to support GEJ and he had the right to so What's really going on?

Fayose has been chosen by his people, the good people of Ekiti.. anything APCriminals try is at their own risk. u do not go against the will of the people for they are the voice of God.. these APCriminals are feeling like gods even tho they are yet to assume power.. i hope all of u who voted them will be ready when their wahala start.. thankfully, na all of us go suffer am..

  66. I seem not to understand the reason behind the impeachment. People's choice should be the paramount thing. Must all the states in Nigeria be APC state. Whats their stress sef......abeg make APC go sit down......If a man can have 16:0, den d people that voted him knows what they are doing.
