Are we all BLIND to see there is division in everything in Nigeria? The campaigns for presidential elections did more division to an already divided people. How come there was no rant about the obvious division in the so called Nollywood? The yoruba producers and marketers are different from the hausa ones, the Iweka road producers and marketers also stand alone. Kunle afolayans father made movies in Nigeria in the era of Ogunde, movies were shot on celluloid and went straight to cinema, no piracy. A culture of movie going was developing and appreciated all over the world and so was Nigerian music then. Kunle has followed in the footsteps of his father through the training and mentorship of real producers of african films like Tunde kelani. If you watch kunles movies you will see careful scripting, acting, directing, editing, special effects etc. it is wrong for anyone to put that much into his work and not be bitter about anyone from any tribe that steals it for their own gain. Alibaba wrote recently about how the movie production and markrting started in the south east. It is all about money, not the art or culture involved. There is division in our land, there is division in our lives.
