Brig. Gen. Chris Olukolade comes for a twitter follower
Brigadier General Chris Olukolade is the Director, Defence Information. So the twitter user said to him "another money making venture in the name of fighting insurgency, SMH". And the military spokesman man responded 'Be warned. Am I you father's mate'. lol. On twitter, nobody has respect.
He should better run... We are living in a country where thieves are the law and we are at their mercy... We have freedom of speech but freedom after speech is what is not guaranteed.
D honest truth is that we nw use the internet †̥̥Ơ̴̴̴͡ speak very loosely not minding if ur talking †̥̥Ơ̴̴̴͡ ur elder or a younger person...its very wrong ....remeber its a smal world .... Pls let's nt use †̥̥Ơ̴̴̴͡ internet †̥̥Ơ̴̴̴͡ forget where we are coming frm ..except U̶̲̥̅̊ aren't frm a very Disciplined Home .. And another thing, uding the internet is the most efficient way , one can be tracked down and dealth with, let's think b4 we write people ! Happi Sunday y'all!
Chaiii!!! Only in this zoo called Nigeria! Of all the issues we are dealing with currently & all the in-house issues the army are facing na respect d general dey find. The CAS said he'd order his men to beat up women, the wives of soldiers who protested against their husbands being sent on suicide missions & now this 1 is respect hunting on twitter, amazing, simply amazing!!!
Nigerians we r funny. We use anonymous handles 2 abuse i govt d moment sm1 has d nerve 2 speak directly 2 1 of these thieved u change tone. Cowards. After u will speak of change anofia
He didn't know he was a father when he took up an office & decided 2 embezzle govt funds. May God help u. And u speak of fathers mate. Thats not d pt. Pls address d issue
Wouldn't it just be delightful (and interesting) if we all stopped shooting each other and just resort to "twitter-wars"... Cos the office of the precidency already is, so is the Nigerian military (obviously)... So maybe Boko Harram get on there too, and they can all duke it out there... And leave the rest of us out of it
For real?? Hv this man heard of democracy/ first ammendment rights?? All these illiterates on uniform, Mr shem meet Gen. Olukolade...... I know dt most Nigerian twitter users hv caustic tongue, rude and insulting, but this particular person hvnt said somethn to warrant threats.... Plz remind this buffalo dt we are not in Korea,!!!#cheExyjayne
Nigerians we r COWARDS... now evry1 is turning on d twitter guy that didn't say any thing abusive and leave d real issue. If u follow nigerians and talk in secret don't challenge any1 in d open cos no 1 will stand with u. OYO. That's y we can't move forward... Together we stand; divided....
If social has no respect for elders, what happened in 1979 will happen again in Nigeria. I don't blame some people when China has made phone cheap and accessible for them. Talk careless. @amfestus
U are a docile idiot! Whole general kor! Some1 tell the "whole general" to pour his anger on boko Haram, they should storm the forest with rage instead of fighting on twitter.
Oga major Gen... like seriously do u hv to respond. how many will u possibly respond too. D guy head go don dey swell. U jst made him popular... and again ur on twitter, dats impressive at least u will know ur "website"
Nigerians dont show appreciation and they will always want you to give them your best, just look at this everyday we say our force men are less motivated then i ask where does the motivation come from when our country men insult them and their families, how on earth would they give you the best. U all should think about this and take a stand
I've never laughed so hard! Olukolade's respond got me rolling on the floor. Chai!Only in Nigeria will you get such a response from a politician. Its so funny. But all this internet troll sef. Nor let the man find you oh! Diaris God oooo!Too funny!
All this internet troll who hide behind their phone and talk shit to people that they can't even face up to in real time. I love how the general guy answered. I laugh sotey!!! lol
You said he is Director of Defence information. If so, that was a foolish reply. If he cannot disperse information right and sort out queries, he's not fit for the job.
Linda, please let's not encourage what is not right. In as much as Twitter is no respecter of age, we need to show empathy & understanding towards our military. The General has every right to be angry. We are the one at the fronline. We are the one that face bullets while your lazy asses snore at night. Please be guided, so the boys would not vent their anger on you.
Public office holders has nothing to do with age, u must be accountable or hold responsible for any Inefficiency suffered by ur office or be ready to resign.
Guy run for your life the man go kill you na the only thing way them sabi be that to beat civilians..... Let the boy say what he feel #freedom of speech
The days of "Letter to the Editor" is gone. We are in the cyber era, people say what they want to say and how they want to say it on Twitter,Facebook and so many other forums.
You are not his father s mate but you are following each other on twitter, uhmm mtschew, nonsense. General, go and meet your mate @ sambisa and stop being a cyber bully.
May God kill you... He should not talk again because the man is a Brig. Gen. Naija people better fight for your right before these men in power turn us to slaves and lab rats in our own country... Mumunu
GENERALLY SPEAKING, WE NIGERIAN COMPOUND ARROGANCE WITH IGNORANCE. WE ARE GRAND MASTER IN DOING THIS. BRIG GEN OLUKOLADE SHOULD HAVE GIVEN A SIMPLE, CIVIL AND EXPLANATORY ANSWER INSTEAD OF RESORTING TO ABUSE.
NOW, NOT ONLY DID THE GENERAL'S REPLY NOT ANSWER THE QUESTION, IT FURTHER PORTRAYED THE NIG. ARMY (THEIR IMAGE) AS BRASH AND NOT TACTICAL.
ABATI, OKUPE, GENERAL,...PLS NOTE THAT PUBLIC AFFAIRS/RELATIONS IS NOT ABOUT TELLING LIES, ABUSING AND MISINFORMING, PR IS TRUTH WELL TOLD.
Mr. Olukolade, if you like be older than Metusellah for as long as you and your men cannot win the war against boko haram, your age, office and experience remains inconsequential.
Public officer has nothing to do with age, bcos public officer must be hold responsible for any failure or ineffency suffered by his/her office or must be ready to resign. So, Mr General accept criticisms and re-strategize and #bringbackourgirls........
God punish anyone here talking about no respect for whole general, general what? Is God not the over all General, are they humble to his wish n words. We know the accused can only talk out of frustration, all on ground is enough to query anybody, be it GEJ or should we be mute n keep suffering. BABA feLa is watching!!!
See u be mumu, u be were, u be shame to humAnity, we all human mr chuku, is your papa one of them wey go rot for hell here after cos the pain those big names caused me, my brothers n sister can't be forgotten, he is busy on twitter while shikau n family r busy ruining the life of innocent girls, u know what, sm1 like u willl trigger what soyinka said in his last interview, if we begin fiting for ourselves, u and your papa no go wait. Be like make I c u, I go rain slap for your face, come my bus stop come come defend him. U no go complete go back idiot.
I dont see anything wrong here. The guy did not insult the general. He only said whatvis true, what we all know, what cowards are afraid to speak out. As for the general, stop using age to mask the truth. Defend the accusation with your balance sheet on how you spend the money meant for soldiers. Thank u.
guys, forget age ..Gen Chris is working so hard for his fatherland and deserve utmost respect..his on twitter on behalf of DHQ to diseminate information and not to chat or respond to clowns like the guy who has instigated all this comments.
After reading the various comments here it good to know that, there are Nigerians who their education is not a waste. All of you who can not understannd what is meant by accountability shame on you. As for the so called Gen. Please learn what is called modern day respect as you may be chatting with someone older than you on social media. How do you know you are older? The guy did you a lot of favour by not asking you what you and your Ogas did with over 3 trillion naira in less than 3 years. If you can not account for such huge amount of money and you want every Nigerian to keep shut then you need mental treatment.
A typical Nigerian way of avoiding difficult questions and at the same time intimidate you. In a good setting questions are asked and answers are giving. The young man might put his question in a bit sarcastic way, but the Gen have a duty to clarify him and make him understand. Not reminding him of age, freedom of expression is allowed
