13year old boy refused bail for trying to kill ex-president Obasanjo and Gov Ohakim with sachets of pure water

A 13-year-old boy, Precious Efurueze, was on Wednesday denied bail by a chief magistrate court in Owerri for allegedly attempting to kill former president Olusegun Obasanjo and the governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, in Owerri on 31, March, by stoning their campaign convoy with sachets of pure water.

Master Efurueze is among 18 people charged with attempted murder for participation in the attack on Messrs. Obasanjo and Ohakim. Notable among the accused is Prince Madumere, the chief of staff to the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Rochas Okorocha. - 234next.

  4. Naija eh!!! Those judges in Imo state are pure jokes. How can one be charged with attempted murder for throwing water at another person? Surely it's assault at worst.

The son of one of the big judges was kidnapped last year and people were generally apathetic, some even celebrated. I didn't agree with their reaction, but those fools are the reason why Imo is the way it is.

  6. na wa ooo.. Nigeria for show.. very stupid people. who dies from sachets of pure water. Its not like the child carried gun to shoot or knife to stab them.. gosh obasanjo and his people just like to make a big fuss over stupid things.. they are not even ashamed to drag a 13 year old boy to jail and the judge refused him bail. the Judge is definitely a joke. instead of them to focus on the upcoming election, they are there trying to send a 13 year old to jail. what does he know at his small age. its just pure water. they should get over themselves..

  13. this is just another prime example of how the Nigerian Judicial system is in shambles and 3/4s of the judges on the bench are useless. how can u arraign a child for murder and deny him bail? more importantly how can u even charge pple with murder for stoning people in a car with pure water? what kind of stupidity is that? how can sachets of pure water kill people who are in a bullet proof car for pete's sake??? this country... we still av a loooooong way to go. God help us.
