After all the publicity, Genevieve Nnaji won't be hosting the Africa Music Awards taking place today in London.
I got the below from her twitter page this morning.

...I agreed to host the show, signed a contract and even publicly announced my participation on a tv program in the uk last time I was there..

...their obligations even to the last minute which is this morning. (Eg; no ticket arrangements). At this point I feel partially used..

ReplyDeletegenevieve is very principled and smart, and it's stupid that the organizers (obviously impoverished benefits claiming ppl) living in the uk thought they cud mess her up...but she outdid them...good girl! they always do this, advertise, then when it's time to pay up...they end up talking shit bout u. i think genevieve had seen other examples and that's why she required they fulfill their obligations before time...and they didn't.

ReplyDeleteThe event has been so hyped when in fact it was just a bunch of idiots running around. Genevieve has her own issues but this show should never have been hyped by blogs

The 'organisers' of this event did not even pay the VENUE which is why it was moved from Wembley. Good on her for figuring it out before hand .... and avoiding attending a big mess!
