when don't most nigerian girls turn up at events look like they are trying to hard, bordering on ghetto without the fabulous, if not possibly hookerish? i am sorry to say this but a lot of our girls don't know how to dress anymore, i went to the NEA awards in New York a few weeks ago and a good 75% of the girls looked like they were paid escorts.
ReplyDeletelinda, your choice to post or not!
movie looks trashy!!!
ReplyDeleteit looks good.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a good one. love love love Funke!!!
ReplyDeleteAnon 8:33, I agree with you. Naija women are not on the list for most properly dressed or well dressed for that matter. We do not know the "1 designer per outfit rule". We do not know how to match shoes to an outfit (this irks me to noooo end), we definitely need intervention with wigs and weave application (this includes our actresses and pageant queens) and we do not know when to not wear a cleavage bearing/arms bearing outfit. We have also joined our Black American sisters in not understanding and drawing the line between "thick" and fat, if your have that severe church mother hand, biko refrain from certain outfits. We know what's up when it comes to traditional styles but we get a big FAIL in "english" outfits. I always shudder when I see pics from events. Naija women!!! Na we still biko sha lol.
Anonymous fashion critics na wa for una! Who begged you? You don't see the post is about a movie premiere?
ReplyDeletei co-sign Anon 9:44pm..but let's wait and see sha
