Gospel singer, Sammie Okposo has finally reconciled wit his former father in the lord, Pastor Paul Adefarasin of the House on the Rock church, with whom he was estranged for the past four years. Before things went bad between them, Sammie was the lead singer in the House on the Rock choir and enjoyed a great relationship with Pastor Paul until news started filtering in about Sammie's relationship with other female choir members. Sammie was excommunicated in 2005.
On Tuesday Sept 22, 2009, wrote this on his status message "A heavy burden has been lifeted off my shoulders and I am so happy now cos my spiritual father, Pastor Paul Adefarasin sent for me on Sunday Sept 20th 2009, after being away from House on the Rock for over four years. He welcomed me back with a loving hug, reconciled with me, blessed me and anointed me with me. It was a service filled with tears of joy and forgiveness. I thank you lord for your love, mercy and faithfulness"Good for him.*

Even the church that is suspending him sef..who knows all he skeletons in everyone's closet.Is anyone God to suspend someone from a church!mchewww
i hate to be the one to break it to the above poster,but yes people can be excommunicated from a church.just read your bible.

we are not saints yet. we still have flesh and can sin but we are not permited do dwell in it. thank God Sammie is forgiven and there is peace now. God help him not to sin again.
Gist!!!! All this talk about suspending people from the church has me recalling.....
A friend of mine actualy stopped going to a certain rccg cos 2 church workers (a couple)got pregnant outside wedlock and where excommunicated or whatever. infact they actually worked for the church and, from what she told me, when they resumed, they had to work without pay as part of their punishment.
I guess religious leaders react in different ways and use their best judgement depending on their personal biases. At the end of the day we ar all hell bound without
that same grace!

Pastor Paul is a man among men, am glad sammie is back. In every kingdom there are rules likewise in the kingdom of God. House on the Rock may look flashy outside but the standard of excellence in every aspect of the church is very high,its a house of hope for the hopeless, everybody is VIP, love is great likewise discipline, Sammie was dealt with in love. There are so many gifted people out there, who are waisting away in some churches, but in house on the rock there is room for every one to be the best. judahmania

I am not a member of the House on the rock,But i've got something to say,God is an epitome of love, and it is said that(1cor 13)love forgives all sins,-and keeps no record of misdeeds- or rather,love doesn't pull your file and like"hey u,where d'you think you're going".I want to say this:Pastor Paul is a profound Spiritual gentle man,and has 'acted to-letter' biblical precepts.Sammie deserved the punishment,i.excommunication or do i say correction.there's order in the House of God,when a sheep is going astray,there's need for the shepherd to bring it back to the fold,using any biblically/spiritually approved means.which pastor Paul has exemplify.The Lord bless you pastor.Sammie,go and sin no more!
